         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Development</strong> is the creation and improving of living standards, where people can develop their full potential, can have a long and healthy life, can have access to education, and be productive in order to have the opportunity to live according to their needs and interests.<br><br><strong>Economic development</strong> is the creation of wealth which grows the economy and enhances the quality of life for people. Whereas <strong>social development</strong> is the improvement of people’s well-being in society so they can reach their full potential.<br><br>Development can be <strong>measured</strong> using the HDI (GNP per capita, number of years schooling, life expectancy). It can also be measured by the birth and death rate, infant mortality, people per doctor and access to safe water.</div>]]></description>
