My results for the Weight IAT test indicated that I have a strong automatic preference for thin people compared to people who are overweight. This thoroughly surprised me because being overweight is something that I have struggled with my entire life. I am at a place now where I am a healthy weight, so I am wondering if that could have something to do with my results and the way I was selecting my answers. Overall, I thought taking this test was interactive, fun, and interesting as it really tested my ability to stay focused as each option changed. What was significant about my test taking experience was how unexpected my results were because I personally do not believe I have a preference to thin people compared to people who are overweight.

My results for the Disability IAT test indicated that I have a moderate automatic preference for physically abled people over physically disabled people. This surprised me because I am a huge advocate for people who have disabilities, as I work in a long-term care facility with medically fragile children. Humans are all created equal, and I leave no room for discrimination because everyone deserves the right to be treated with respect. There was nothing significant about my test taking experience, I honestly really enjoyed it and thought the design of the test was very interesting as it kept my mind stimulated the entire time.
