Thanks again for yesterday. I'm really looking forward to coming to the next meetings. There are so many things I want to learn and apply to my courses.

I think I got most things crystal clear yesterday; in particular, I like that I now know the different types of hybrid/hybridized classes.

A little muddy, just because we haven't gotten there yet, is what tools I can use and how actually use them (e.g. I need to become familiar with "Poll everywhere"). Also, I need to work on understanding the differences between strategies that can be applied to science courses vs. language-culture courses.

What I take from watching the content on the website is that the class I am concerned about, HISP 203, works like a steriotypical flipped course. However, I am deeply concerned on how my students get vocabulary through lists with the Spanish and English word based on what it is given on the book it is used in class. As a result, I wonder what I can create that can be introduced in the online preparation so students have access to vocabulary in a different way instead of lists or flashcards. Or even it can be taken to class like I do with Kahoot. I guess I need to keep learning more about the content available on the website.

Clear: I like the idea of having student generate content (e.g., the podcasts of Annie Blazer). I would like to ask students to create content at multiple levels (3rd grade, 9th grade, college, etc.)

Cloudy: I’m interested in using “storytelling” or narrative to make the science classroom more engaging and “critical.” But I have no idea how…or even what I mean exactly. :-)
