• Count learners as they line up or walk: Un, deux, trois...

• Count down from ten to indicate it’s time to transition: Dix, neuf, huit…

🎨 Colours or Vocabulary Challenge

• Call a colour (e.g. rouge). Children wearing that colour line up first.

• Call categories liked to core vocabulary: Si tu aimes les chiens, fais la queue ! If you like dogs, line up!

From Primary 5 onwards, children also have the opportunity to learn German.

• Ask learners key questions to reinforce vocabulary.

  • Quel âge as-tu ?

  • Quelle est ta couleur préférée ?

• Lundi — Les nombres

• Mardi — Les couleurs

• Mercredi — Les animaux

Use that day to practise and reinforce stage vocabulary linked to that topic.
