Module 1 - Question 1. Why do you use or want to use tablets in your teaching?

In my opinion, using tablets in the classroom is the best way to teach.
Nowadays is the most useful device because is easy to carry, there is a lot of apps to learn about different subjects and the conectivity to the internet is quite easy and fast.In my case, I teach adults who live inside a prison where the internet it is not allow and a lot of them can't afford buying a tablet. So, I'll give my reasons because I think that it is very interesting for my students. The first is that they haven't skills with ICT because most of them are living inside a prison sin 1999 and their last mobile phone weren`t a smartphone. As while they are living in prison they have to prepare to live outside the prison, I can't understand the reintegration of them without ICT. I began to use my iPad in the classroom since the last February and today they made a test and I introduced to more of them QR-codes.
All of them saw a QR-code some time in their lifes, but they didn't
know how it is work. Obviously, without the internet, we have a big
limit, but most of them are so happy with this work because is
different. Finally, I think that this can be the first step to get the internet inside the prison for some inmates.

Probably, more than a half of the iPads are in their homes taking pawder. There is no coordination between the teachers to work together in the way to introduce tablets to our learners.

I attach it at the end of this post, but I'm not sure that it works.
Using Aurasma on my picture, you will have to link to the next video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94u_Iph_3IA
But I think that it doesn`t work properly. Sorry for the incovenience.
The video is about a Math question to solve with Geogebra, another app that I use in my classroom with my students.

This is my case, because I work with adults who had a very difficult life, and most of them have contact with drugs during a lot of time, so their brains are not in the best conditions. So, they think that there is only one way to learn, the "traditional learning".

Adding to them, most of them only had contact with PC to steal from a car or a shop.

So, changing their thaught about school, is a little difficult.

Anyway, we didn`t have the conditions to try to change this and work some skills without some devices as tablets, smartphones or PCs.
