Explain that Pablo Neruda was a poet from Chile who cared about ordinary people and loved everyday things.</p><p>2. Read the book aloud.</p><p>3. Discuss: What were some of the ordinary things Pablo Neruda wrote about?</p><p><b>Week 2:</b></p><p>1. Review the story quickly. Then look at the examples of odes by Pablo Neruda.</p><p>2. Go over possible questions to ask when writing an ode. Discuss how Pablo Neruda answered some of those questions in his odes.</p><p>3. Work together as a class to write an ode! Each class has their own slide. Try to answer as many of the questions as possible and use all 5 senses.</p>]]></description>
