         <description><![CDATA[<div>The RER synthesizes proteins, then packaged into vesicles and sent to the Golgi apparatus. The Protein is assembled from an RNA sequence. After that it is carried by a ribosome into the RER. Membrane. The protein either goes to the RER membrane or RER lumen. It goes to the lumen if the protein is water soluable.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is a series of flattened sacs and are part of a continuous membrane organelle. It almost looks like a maze or ribbon with many small bumps covering its surface. These small bumps are called ribosomes. One might say its membrane looks like sheets or discs as well.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The smooth ER doesn't even have Ribosomes. Talk about a Loser. Where would the ribosomes be located if the RER was not there? How would cells synthesize proteins without the rough ER? This makes the protein. Cells would be weak without me!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The RER plays a large role in the synthesis of proteins. It is a manufacturing and packaging system. It works with the golgi apparatus, ribosomes, tRNA, and mRNA. The membrane form sacs called cisternae where the protein is actually synthesized. When a protein is complete, it is pinched off in a vesicle.</div>]]></description>
