A Boy's POV

I was still in my car, shaking. Sadness and sorrow filled my empty hearts. I
was afraid to go out that, I have to accept it. A moment later, I gathered all my
courage to go out. The rain was about to pour as I walked towards the crowd
full of people in black. I stand right next to her family near the casket. Her
mom looks at me with tears rolling down her cheeks. She offered me a hug
and I gladly accepted it.
"Thank you...for coming," She said while patting my back. I could feel her
tears drenching my suit.
"It's the least I could do," I say and she smiled sadly.
My tears threatening to spill from my eyes but I manage to hold it. The
moment I tuned out the chattering and noise, I stared at the casket and
walked closer to it. There she was, a girl who used to be my "best friend". She
looks different but a good different. She laid there peacefully while her face
was pale. She looks beautiful as always. I took a step back right where I was
just standing. Her family gave their eulogies. Most of them are her memories
of them with her. I stared down at my shoes from the rest of the eulogies. I
drifted away with my memories of her. When we first met, the way she's
laughing, her smile and her voice were like an angel to me.
"...to granted her last wish" I didn't realize Father Amell was calling me until
someone poking my shoulder. She snapped me out of my states and I saw
everyone was staring at me.
"Mr. Walker," He started. "would you please granted Mrs. Adam wishes.
She wants you to read this letter" With that I just nodded. He passed me the
letter and I gaze it first.
I clear my throat
"Dear my family..." I started and the letter was pretty much about how she
loves her family and told them to moved on. But the last paragraph was hit me
hard in the heart. It goes...
"Lastly, this was only for Kelvin," My hands were shaking when I hold the
paper.

My best friend, Kelvin. You're always there for me. We ride the highs and
lows no matter what the costs. When we first met, I thought you're the same
as other people but your not. That's when something hit me. In school, I stare
at you...wishing you was mine...But I thought you didn't notice me like
that...And I know...I wanted to tell you...I wanted you to know...That I don't
want to be just friends...I love you but I'm just too shy...And I don't know
why...I wish you would tell me that you loved me, Kelvin...Goodbye Kelvin.

I didn't realize tears slipping down my cheeks. They flowed faster than my
heartbeat. My knee was weak. I almost dropped to the ground as I finished
reading the letter.
"It's okay, son" Father Amell touching my shoulder made me look at him. I
nodded and wiping my escaped tears. After the funeral finished, I drove home
with blurry vision because the tears still slipping. I parked my car in the
driveway and sitting there for a moment to gather myself up. All I heard was
my breath and raindrops on my car as I buried my face in my hands. I was
about to get out of the car when I saw a parcel that was given to me at the
funeral by Mrs. Adam, Emma's mother. I took it and ran towards my house.
After changing and stuff, I plopped myself on the couch and open the parcel.
There's a note on it:

For You Kelvin
Love
-E-

I sniffled quietly as the tears of pain running down my cheeks. It was her diary.

Not just a diary. It's my story.

Her voice started to play in my mind. It hurts so much that I lost her and I
couldn't tell her that I loved her. I flipped the diary open. It read:

It's not my story anymore. It's our story.

I couldn't help myself but smile at the first page.
Her first diary entry was…

August 27, 2015
Dear diary...

To be continue?

I flipped the diary open.
*
August 27, 2015
Dear Diary,
My whole summer sucks. I’ve nothing to do this whole summer and tomorrow
is the first day of school. How crazy is that? *sigh* I didn’t realize how fast
time flying past. Anyway, the house across my house was finally sold. I’m
pretty much heard a moving truck drop by this afternoon. My mom thought it
would be nice to say “Hi” to our new neighbor but I don’t feel like I want to. So,
instead of bonding with strangers, I rather spend my time in my diary. My
parents were out to some dinner with their new friends which has you
guessed, the new neighbor. It’s been a rough day, I guess. I need to get some
sleep now, it’s been pretty late. God, stop that noise. A basketball was
echoing in the night, breaking the silence and annoyed me. Oh my, it’s my
new neighbor. Well, my neighbor is a he. His back was facing me. I couldn’t
see his face. Nope. His back is still facing me. Looks like I’ve got a mystery to
solve tomorrow.
Love,
-E-
Lunch at the cafeteria wasn’t that bad, for the first day only. I’m pretty sure
tomorrow wasn’t as good as today. I still haven’t seen him since yesterday. I
stretched my neck and look around the cafeteria but no luck. I sighed.
“Ugh, what am I doing?” I muttered under my breath as the school’s bell
rang. I headed to my favorite class, English. I put things in my locker and
slammed it shut. I walk faster to the class while glancing at the floor. That’s
where I bumped into someone’s hard chest and stumbled back. That person
was letting out an “oof” as we bumped into each other.
“Ow!” I winced and squinted my eyes after my butt made a contact with the
floor.
“Are you okay?” That person asked me. His accent was quite strong which
indicate he must be Canadian. I open my eyes to meet his’. My eyes when
wide and my heart skipped a beat. His eyes were light blue and a smirk
plastered on his face. My mouth was hanging open as he squatting and held
his hand out. I stared at his hand first, hesitated to take his hand. Woah! His
hand is soft. I thought. My blood still pumping faster than the usual as he
trying to help me to get up. Blood rushing to my cheeks. I really, really hope
that he doesn’t see it. Then, I heard a chuckled. Why is he chuckling?
“Are you okay miss…?” He asked while I gazed at my shoes.
“Yeah…I-I’m fine” I stuttered. Out of the blue, he tilted my chin up and asked
again.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly and I couldn’t move my eyes from his gaze.
I blinked rapidly and trying to open my mouth to speak but instead, I shoved
his hand and headed to the class. I heard him chuckled which made me smile.
*
A Boy’s POV
“English, English, English” I was just about to go crazy looking for Mrs.
Lerman’s class. “Ugh, where is the f- oof” I was about to swear when
someone bumped into me.
“Ow!” Oh. It’s her. My neighbor. She’s a lot more beautiful than what her
mother described. I was staring at her for a moment and shook my head.
“Are you okay?” I asked and she just looked at me with her mouth slightly
opened. She’s also blushing which is adorable. Wait, what? No, no. You’re not
falling for her. I squat and held my hand out and asked again “Are you, okay
miss…?”
“Yeah…I-I’m fine” She replied without looking at me. That’s rude or maybe
she’s just shy I thought. Without hesitation, I lifted her chin and amazement
struck me. Her deep brown eyes staring at me. I lost it after she shoved my
hand and walked to the class. Surprisingly, English class.
*
