When I first started going to school in pre-k, I would always want to draw. Whenever we had free choice I would choose to draw, and there was nothing I loved more than drawing inside of coloring books. But I also had a few other interests.

This shows that I love drawing but I'm not sure if it's my favorite because even when I was little it was something I really enjoyed, but not the only thing that I liked.

I had a babysitter in 2nd-3rd grade who was in FIT, and she would always bring her fashion drawings to me so that I could trace over them and color them in the way she would with proper shading and fancy markers. I would look forward to doing this every Sunday when she would come over and eventually my drawings got really good because I practiced so much and I really wanted my art to look like hers. But once she stopped babysitting us, I slowly stopped drawing and focused on other things.

This shows how I enjoy drawing but it's not always at the top of my mind because when my babysitter would bring her drawings for me and I would practice every weekend, it was my favorite thing. But then gradually I started losing interest and it wasn't the most important anymore.

In 5th grade I got back into art again, but it this time it was a different style of art. All of my classmates in 5th grade loved to draw, so me being interested in art, started wanting to learn how to draw like them. They drew in a more cartoony/anime style, which was new to me. But I just found their drawings to be so pretty that it made me want to do the same. So I learned how to draw anime style and ended up getting kinda good at it. But this was very difficult for me to learn, so I hardly practiced for a while after 5th grade, and even in 5th grade I wouldn't draw all the time.

This demonstrates how I've always been into drawing but sometimes fall out of it for months at a time because I was so into learning to draw anime style when all my friends were, but then sometimes I would just give up because it was too hard or I just found excuses not to. If drawing always was my favorite, then I would have kept going no matter what.

Since September of last year i've gotten back into drawing, but it happens in phases. I just draw my favorite characters from shows, which are usually anime. I'll draw a lot for a month straight, and then not draw for another two months, and then make 3 drawings in 2 weeks. It's really inconsistent now, but when I am into drawing I hyper-focus on it. The last drawing that I made outside of art class was in early September.

This explains how I always consider drawing to be one of my favorite hobbies, but I go through phases of liking it because like I explained, I'll draw all the time for a few weeks straight, and then stop for months at a time.
