Where is ozone layer?

stratosphere
Additional Information. Most atmospheric ozone is concentrated in a layer in the stratosphere, about 9 to 18 miles (15 to 30 km) above the Earth's surface (see the figure below). Ozone is a molecule that contains three oxygen atoms.

What happens if the ozone layer is destroyed?

radiation. A diminished ozone layer allows more UV radiation to reach the Earth's surface. For people, overexposure to UV rays can lead to skin cancer, cataracts, and weakened immune systems. Increased UV can also lead to reduced crop yield and disruptions in the marine food chain

.Why is ozone bad for humans?
How is Ozone Harmful? ...

When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation. Ozone may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections.

Natural resources are elements of nature that help or contribute to the well-being and development of living beings in different ways, for example, trees provide oxygen.1 It is all that element, material or energy, that exists in a natural state and that serves to meet biological needs (food, clothing, housing, buildings) to develop an economic activity, or to satisfy social demands (consumer items). It is also said that natural resources can be by creation or transformation, in the latter case, when the hand of the human being intervenes

Marti,Lauti.M,Pauli

REDUCE the volume of products consumed when possible. Buying items in excess of no real need causes waste of raw materials in addition to the enormous amount of garbage that is generated. What can we do?

- Reduce the use of single-use products, such as kitchen paper and tissues.
- Reduce the use of aluminum foil and replace it with cloth bags or lunch boxes.
- Reduce the use of plastic bags, you can use biodegradable bags, recycled paper, baskets, or carts.
- Reduce energy use, using localized lighting and turning off indirect lights, using low-consumption light bulbs and making the most of sunlight. Turn off and unplug appliances that are not being used.
- Reduce water consumption. Shower instead of bathing, make sure the taps don't leak, fill the dishwasher or washing machine well before putting them on.
- Buy the products in large, returnable or slightly wrapped containers
