The connection is designed to close the gap between the existing orange line bike path (ends after Ethel Ave, Chandler Blvd and Leghorn Ave) and chandler bike path (Vineland and Chandler Blvd).

At this location we will be able to see the existing bike lanes on both sides of the orange line and heading east on Chandler Blvd

Team Notes:

• The project will upgrade existing, 5-foot wide Class II bicycle lanes on Chandler Boulevard to Class IV (protected) bicycle lanes

• Add forthcoming Chandler Bikeway to BEN to address existing gap

  • Currently a BEN gap along this segment

  • Today on Vineland Ave, there is a Class IV, protected bike lane between Camarillo and Ventura Blvd

• TEN Gap (Chandler and Camarillo)

  • Currently a TEN gap where the BRT route would travel. There is a stop on Hesby along this gap. 

• PED gap between Magnolia and Camarillo
