The link states the stance of PAWS to certain animal welfare issues. They oppose animal testing and animal fighting. They support companion animals as long as pet owners take full commitment, “adopt, don’t shop”, responsible feeding of stray animals, euthanasia (because sometimes, it is needed by the animal), and they believe that more effort should go to the preservation of the species and the creation of sanctuaries.

They found that the number of endemic and threatened species varies geographically. They also found that tree cover loss is correlated with biodiversity records, but it is only significant for bird species. Other critical threats to biodiversity were also highlighted, such as deforestation, agricultural expansion, and mining. Their findings suggest that biodiversity conservation should span across both in areas that are rich in biodiversity, and not. They call for a stronger collaboration between institutions to digitise and centralise information for biodiversity.

It is a symbol of strength, resilience, freedom, and bravery. However, the significance of this is not brought to national attention as the Philippine Eagle becomes more associated with Davao City. The painting aims to put a spotlight on the significance of the Philippine Eagle to Bukidnon. This shows how biodiversity can be a part of our identity as Filipinos, such as the species unique to our country. Thus, it is essential to preserve our biodiversity especially our endangered species like the Philippine Eagle.
