      <description>It is important for children to have a range of coping strategies within their toolbox as different strategies will be more effective in different situations and circumstances. Below are some of the more common strategies that children tend to use but it is important to remember that every child is different and their coping strategies will be unique to them. Remember that if we want children to be able to apply coping strategies when the get overwhelmed, we need to teach and practice them when they are calm.  </description>
