Revised Big Topic: The historical actions and effects that Harriet Tubman has done on slaveryHarriet said that ''slavery was the next thing to hell". Her parents were taken away from her. She worked on splitting fence rails, loading up timber on wagons, and checking muskrat traps, she stay strong though she was a child. Her father taught her many things like how to use North Star as a compass. Her husband, John Tubman, threatened to betray her if she tried to escape slavery. Many slaves who tried to escape would not return and mostly will be killed. Harriet had secretly escaped slavery as making a trip of ninety miles from the plantation to Philadelphia. Harriet said she was a stranger in a strange place. She had been absent for weeks and it was because she was going back to rescue other slaves on the plantation. She saved over 300 people! Harriet Tubmans brave actions and guts stood out to people who knew her. Her motto was "I cant die but once". She was a genius at planning every detail of a journey. She had great pride in her work and had a "wry" sense of humor. Her most famous trip was when she had a gun to a scared man who wanted to go back home, she said ''Move or die,'' ordering the man to go back or he will be killed. People say that her heroic exploits had made her a legend among other slaves. The white people would win 40000 dollars if they found Harriet, the only thing is, they thought thought that it was a man doing all this because they thought a woman couldnt do all this. She felt like a blackberry in a pail of milk, when feeling like this, she went to the public and helped whites understand that slavery isnt good. They would go up and shake her hand. The author says she is a well dressed woman. She didnt know how to read or write but she memorizes from the bible. Her intelligence of the terrain helped the Union alot during the civil war. She was in the army for 3 years and was the first woman to lead troops into battle. She maried a handsome veteran named Nelson Davis. She decided to plant a large vegetable garden and toop orphans and the elderly. She fought for human rights before dying of pneumonia. I had pneumonia when i was 3 and im so lucky to be alive.

Revised Big Topic: Harriet learned of the UGR and once he got older she went to Philadelphia and helped the slaves back at the plantation.Key idea:On her most famous trip she pulled her gun on a man who said he wanted to turn back she told him to move or die she meant no harm but she knew that if he went backed he'd be forced to give info.Key idea:Harriet's sheer guts stood out to anyone and everyone she knew, her motto was i can't die but once.Author's perspective:The authour feels Harriet Tubman was a little girl who thought she could not do any thing but she grew up to become a very strong leader among the slaves. Also she helped in the union army as a nurse and she was the only woman to lead troops into battle and she had a house in her later years in new york she took in elderly and orphans
