Art style inspired from old Japanese series Dragon Ball Z and classic Cartoon Network drawing style with thick visible lines, out of proportion body characters, simple facial features like kids' drawings.

I used lots of preset brush tool for textures like grass, plants, forests, water fall, clouds, birds flying paint brush tool. Blending brush tool are also useful for my drawings.

I used a few of my old artworks and 3d models that are made a few months ago in clip studio and maya 3D for the objects inside the scenes.

I drew the characters, objects and scenes and animate them. Some of them I animate in clip studio as a hand drawn 2D with rotoscoping technique, I also use puppet pin tool and keyframe animation. I mixed these 2 technique together on characters, objects and scenes. The sea location I used 3D ocean in blender. I imported everything in After Effects and animate them

I drawn some frame by frame animation in clip studio, exported it as an avi video file to use as animation assets.

The rain I used the overlay video I found on Youtube, but I added stylized brush stroke effect to make it look different from the original video.

I used the stylized cartoon effect plugin on every scene to make bolder outlines and less texture details in some of my characters and objects, because that's the visual style I'm looking for.

I added AE pixel sorter stylize plugin effect which is a paid plugin. Japanese folklore says that dragons are god of water, the ancient people worship them to prevent drought in their farming land because ancient Japan's water irrigation system was not good. The built blue dragon statues in temples to worship.

Unlike western dragons that breathe fire and cause destruction, blue dragons are god of water.

The Blue Dragon is the most famous animals from the 4 symbols: Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, Black Turtle and Blue Dragon. The Blue Dragon is protecting the East side of Kyoto, the old capital, and is associated with spring season and cherry blossom.

That is why my animation should be bright, positive and uplifting to support my already uplifting music. I decided to go with the story of blue dragon saving the land and people from drought by giving them rain and water by using his water bending powers and stopping the volcano. 

Music video visuals will be about a Blue Dragon who is the main hero, who save the land of Japan from drought and volcano eruption, then becomes friend with children and let them ride on his back into the night sky seeing beautiful aurora lights and back to their parents home.

So the story is about the Blue Dragon who saves the land of Japan from drought and volcano. There are lots of Earthquake in Japan and Mount Fuji volcano, so this is my inspiration for my work.

My audiences will be fans of film score, cinematic, epic orchestral music of every age from kids to adults.

My work is suitable for people who like film music and video game music, especially orchestral and piano soundtrack. 

People who like Hollywood cinematic music such as movies made in production companies such as Marvel, Warner Brothers and Paramount Pictures. 

Also people who are fans of independent cinematic orchestral composers who released music to Apple Music and Spotify independently without record label, but still has a large following and listeners engagements to their music, such as Derani and Phantasia Music. 

People who like epic film composers such as Two Steps from Hell, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Powell, Alan Silvestri, James Horner and Howard Shore.

Also 2D animated cartoon fans around children and teen age who watch western UK or USA style cartoon.

  • I shortened the piece of music, but keep it the same structure as opposed to what Ivan said to change the structure.

The music is now 2 minutes and 28 seconds, shortened from

After the music is done, I sent it to a mastering engineer in Australia, he always charge 55 US dollars per track for independent musicians/artist. He sent me back the master and I release the music on Spotify and other streaming services such as Apple and Facebook/Instagram on the 22nd of April 2022.

The music had 2 playlist placement by an Epic Music Spotify playlist curator because I pitched the music to them on submithub.com

I also have the music live on synchedin.com stock music website because I was invited to join from an email from my music distributor. They said they like my work and wanted to to join their stock music catalogue. My artist name is Dragon Soundworlds.

The introduction of the music will be a blue dragon flying on different parts of the land in Japan and using magic to give people and land water and rain. The people become happy and cheer.

When using magic water flows in river and rain will appear.

The main hook of the music comes with a volcano blasting scene, but the dragon prevent destruction with water bending powers.

After the dragon saves the land from drought and volcano. A transition in the music will come with a calm piano part where the kids will ride the dragon's back into the sky watching the stars, and the climax ending part of the song is the dragon send the kids back to their parents and flies away into the dawn.

The story used to be longer when the music is longer for 3 minutes and 22 seconds, but this is the shortened story when I shortened the music on my tutor, Ivan Zawada's advice. The music is now 2 minutes and 29 seconds.

Some characters and objects are keyframe and puppet pin tool animation. Some are frame by frame rotoscoping. Some are effect plugins animation which creates movement.

I used blender 3D to create moving blue sea waves on some scenes by using a 3D plane.

I adjust the brightness of each scene and character, use blending modes, add texture to adobe illustrator images. Pre-compose and loop the background when the scene is moving a lot. I used lumetri colors effect plugins to adjust darkness and light during night and day time in the scenes.

I used motion blur on fast moving dragon character, wiggle animation and puppet pin animation.

I used some linear color key to take out unwanted colors and  background in my avi video file

For the human characters facial expression drawn in clip studio using frame by frame animation, then export and import into after effects as an avi video file.

I used fractal noise for night sky aurora, and added displacement or distort effect plugins with added colors, duplicate layers while using light burst plugin on each layer and just blending modes, I moved the aurora to flow in the sky with key frame adjustment. 

For volcano lava and light beam blast, I added swell, some distort effects and gradient, with roughen edges effect plugin.

I generated lightning with plugin effects, use motion blur on some fast moving dragon scene.

One of my music is Azure Dragon, I was inspired by a Japanese film composer so I wrote this piece. His piece is called Blue Dragon by Hiroyuki Sawano, it's a soundtrack for a Japanese TV drama called Team Medical Dragon. His piece is majestic, grand and beautiful film score without any terror in it despite having the name Dragon in it. It's a lushful and emotional piece. I listened to this piece on repeat.

I wrote the piece in a happy major key of B flat major. The key is associated with hope, love and positivity. It can also sound majestic and grandiose.

In this musical piece of music I was trying to convey scenes of dragons flying beautifully and majestically like the How to Train Your Dragon Soundtrack by composer John Powell. 

I finished arranging the chords and melodies of all instruments mixed the sound of each instrument track. 

I wrote the first version of the music that is 3 minutes and 22 seconds long with 3 hook parts. 

I presented to music to my tutor Ivan Zawada, he told me that to shorten it, do volume dynamics, change the drums patterns instead of looping them, and take out some block chords at the beginning of the music on some instruments because they are too thick in the music texture, so my music can have a build up to climax when all the instruments goes in.

He told me not to show all the elements of my music at the beginning, but slowly build up to the climax where I show everything.

I also shortened the music to 2 hook parts and now it's 2 minutes and 29 seconds long. 

3 minutes of music is too long for making an animation and the story will be too complicated. The first version of the story was too complicated, so after I shortened it the story becomes easier to animate and more likely to finish on time. That means I have 2 stories versions.
