         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Forces</strong><br>What is the definition of force?<br>A force is a push or pull on an object.<br><br><strong>What are forces?</strong><br>It’s an influence that can cause an object to change shape, size or speed, unless unbalanced by another force.<br><br><strong>What is the unit of forces?</strong><br>The unit of forces are newtons(N)<br><br><strong>How do we measure forces?</strong><br>With a newton/force meter.<br><br><strong>What are different types of forces?</strong><br>Gravity<br>Air resistance <br>Friction<br>Water resistance <br>Upthrust<br>Tension <br>Reaction<br>Weight<br>Magnetic <br>Electrostatic <br><br>There are balanced and unbalanced forces<br>Balanced forces are equal and opposite and there is no motion/stays a constant speed.<br>Unbalanced forces cause a change in motion.<br><br>Forces always come in pairs.<br>You can’t see forces you can only see their effect.<br>The size of the arrow tells us the size of the force.<br>And the direction of the arrow shows us the direction of the force.<br><br><strong>Gravity</strong><br>10N/kg<br>Weight=mass x gravitational field strength<br><br><strong>Air resistance</strong> <br>Increases as the surface area increases.<br><br><strong>Friction</strong><br>Smoother the surface, the lower the friction.<br>More the weight, the higher the friction.<br><br>Mass : amount of matter an object is made up of.<br>Weight : amount of force acting on an object.</div>]]></description>
