-This lesson will teach students about the importance of water and the process of the water cycle.
-The lesson will be introduced with a series of open ended question to pique the students' interest. Students will discuss and write their ideas on Padlet. Questions may include: Why is water important? Where does rain come from? Where do puddles go?
-This lesson will also incorporate hands on learning. Students will draw the water cycle on a ziplock bag with marker. To exemplify a body of water, students will put some water at the bottom of the bag and then tape it to the window. Students will experience the process of evaporation and condensation.

-Students will understand the process of the water cycle.
-They will become familiar with terms such as precipitation, evaporation, condensation, transpiration, and run-off.
-The goal is for students to be able to identify, describe, and explain the process of the water cycle and its importance.
-Although this lesson may be modified for any grade, I believe that the course of this lesson plan is best suited for third or fourth grade.

-As the lesson's introduction, students will use Padlet to record their hypotheses to the proposed questions. This will be an effective tool because students will be able to see everyone's answers, which will allow them to instantly share ideas.
-There are many "Water Cycle Songs" on YouTube, which condenses information for students in a memorable and engaging way. After students have learned about the water cycle, it would be beneficial to summarize the information by playing a selected song online.
-In order to demonstrate their understanding of the topic, students can use Jamboard to sketch the process of the water cycle sequentially.

Possible Obstacles

-The water cycle can be a complex process. There are many terms that can be difficult to grasp. Therefore, all students will not understand the first time. However, this lesson uses several different tools to adhere to different learning styles. The water cycle will be demonstrated in ways that can be understood by visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. Another obstacle could be the hands on activity with the ziplock bags. Depending on the weather, it may not work as well or results may take longer.
-Yes, this lesson will need differentiation. Depending on the level at which students learn, it may be valuable to pick different YouTube videos about the water cycle. A video that is more visual and focuses less on complex terms, but still conveys the main idea, may be necessary for certain learners. The Padlet, Youtube video, and Jamboard will be able to be accessed at a later time, which will help students that need to review the process multiple times or at a later time.
