This meant that people were supposed to stay in their homes, and only leave for essential things. Months of this self-isolation, or what most people refer to as "quarantine" leaves many people feeling trapped, away from the world around them and people around them. This was and is especially hard for people that do not have very good relationships with their family, as they are stuck in an environment that is far from ideal for them. Despite this being another rule to keep people away from each other, I think in some ways it gave people hope. People now knew that they could see people outside of their homes, as long as they "social distanced". However, at first, this was not the meaning of this rule even though as of now it can be interpreted that way. He was killed by a cop during an arrest for allegedly using a counterfeit bill. This terrible event sparked a rise in the Black Lives Matter movement. This movement and awareness were already a thing before this event, however, there was a significant increase in support and awareness for the movement after it. Many people, whether they have a large viewing and platform or not, have spoken out and are speaking about getting justice for black lives lost due to police brutality and racism. Whether they speak out on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and even Tik Tok, it has a made a huge impact on the success towards BLM. There have been a countless number of protests all over America and even other countries as well. The protesters' goals are to highlight issues with racism that are apparent in all states, pressing them to make changes within mostly law enforcement. This is pushing officials to review police conduct and make changes so that the events that are happening do not continue.
