I sketched out my design then colored it in. Inspired by artist Augusta Savage, I wanted to show her impact on the city of Harlem. She created beautiful sculptures, but shared her gift with children of Harlem. During the depression, Savage would teach free art classes. However, I am really happy with how it turned out. I even used a funny picture of my friend to make it more personal.

I worked on the concept of a zentangle, using patterns and designs, on top of a color wheel. I painted it with water color and traced it in a sharpie. The biggest struggle was saturating water color and learning how to properly use them.
