When I was a child, we lived by the beach and would swim in the ocean frequently. One day my parents had to call the life guard to pull me out of the water because I wouldn't listen to come in, so that we could go home. 

2. When I was in the 5th grade I had gotten a black eye from playing softball and needed 11 stitches. That year for Halloween I was a boxer.

During a family trip to Florida, I was about 8 years old, I went to a prohibited area of a board walk through a swamp and fell into the swamp, which was an active alligator nesting site. My Father pulled me out by my hair, as I was nearly pulled under by an angry mother alligator. 

As a teenager I was detained in a Mexican jail on possible smuggling charges . I learned to water ski when I was 5 years old. I am still water skiing and this summer I skied on the lake for 5 miles on an OLD (this was my dad's ski) Maharaja wooden ski. 

2. I pulled the ligaments in my right ankle playing hide-and-seek when I was 15 1/2 years old. I was in drivers' education at the time and had to take all of the driving lessons on a simulator because I had a cast up to my knee. (Do you believe I could still ride  unicycle and jump on a pogo stick?)

3. I was born in Miami, Florida and moved to California when I about 5 years old.

My dad did not believe me and said suck it up for 2 weeks. I later saw a doctor and the fracture was so bad I needed surgery to reset the bones.
2. I played sports all throughout my childhood - I have 4 brothers; I even was the first girl to play on an all boys football team.
3. I had my own off road jeep for 10 years and helped put a new V-8 in it so it had more power to climb hills and rocks in the woods.

2.  I was an Airborne Radar Systems Specialist on the AWACS E-3 aircraft in the Air Force.  I was only one of eight women in the Air Force that were in the career field at the time.  I wanted to be a mental health worker and was afraid of flying but they placed me in that career field anyway!

3. I have travelled to 14 different countries including Luxembourg, which ironically, was my assigned country for my 6th grade research project.
