What does economic security look like?
Guess: Economic security in my understanding is the government setting rules so that people do things a certain way to prevent conflict or a drop in economy. This helps everyone feel safe. An example is that in Australia, guns are banned to protect the community and so no violence occurs. If people kept shooting people, there would be protests, people against the government and increase in crime rates.
Definition: To get paid when working so they are able to afford necessities. The wore and harder they work, the more they get paid.

What does economic freedom look like?
Guess: Economic freedom is the government give citizens rights such as voting, the ability to protest and have their own opinions.
Definition: The ability to spend, invest and produce things.

Where do you think Australia is on the economic spectrum:
More towards security rather than freedom: Economically, we have a very safe country but we don't make the innovation, we buy innovation.
Stock exchange - trend kept going down(free fall) and lost about 20 billion dollars - they turned it off and restarted it

What would have to happen to Australia's economy for us to surrender our freedoms for increased security?
Rise of fascism

Italy economic collapse:
- increase in casualty rates (After World War)
- Win the war after making investment - get no reward - no jobs, no money, angry people, lead to fascism
