The Edmodo website we learned about is really good for parent involvement. The teacher, students, and parents can all access the website. You can send letters to parents this way, and they can ask you any questions they may have from home.

I really like a lot of the ideas I've seen with QR codes. I think offering parents a link to a special page/newsletter would be a great idea. You could keep them up to date on events, family project due dates, and maybe even offer a section for questions and comments.

I think creating a QR code to a class website is a great way to involve parents! Print out the QR code and then laminate it and give it to them on a keychain. They can check for newsletters and updates whenever they choose.
