MRT was also made more environmentally friendly by including energy-efficient train and system , more green stations , use of sustainable materials in construction . Also prioritises energy efficiency in its operations, with features like regenerative braking and smart energy management systems. Compared to the past , MRT use to operate by human or animal power, through a treadwheel. Now , it is more sustainable, environmentally friendly and better for the environment.
