         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Teaching Methods<br>- Assessment Tools<br>- Creating Learning Environment<br>The skills that a teacher should have specially in this 21st century is so critical specifically if the classroom's teaching style is student centered, the learning skills are those skills that the teacher is responsible to improve as during the development process they grow such as (Critical thinking , creativity, collaboration and communication) to me these skills can not be learned alone, one should gain it from who they are around with.&nbsp;<br>While Literacy skills that are ( Information , media &amp; technology literacy) are the biggest issues that the teachers facing lately in this pandemic period in particular. And last going to life skills to me it is also the personality of the person or as least the character of the teacher in class which are ( Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, productivity, social skills)<br>As we know that a teacher is an important figure in teaching and learning process, because he/she follows the curriculum so that throughout the year all the important knowledge is provided to the students. The main purpose of teaching at any level is to bring out a significant change in the learner. Most of the traditional methods were teacher- centered with no activity for the learners making them passive and therefore obtaining knowledge from the teacher without building their engagement level with the subject matter and the approach is least practical, more theoretical and memorizing. Student-centered approaches which are more effective are more encouraged because they embrace the concept of discovery learning. Most teachers today apply the student centered approach to promote interest, analytical research, critical thinking and enjoyment among students. Transferring knowledge requires teachers to use the appropriate method and pedagogy that best suits the learner and suit the objectives and desired outcomes. The poor academic performance by majority of the students in various subject areas is basically linked to the application of ineffective teaching methods by teachers to impact knowledge to learners and therefore teachers need to be conversant with numerous teaching strategies. Teaching is a profession of those who impart knowledge or skill, especially in an elementary or a secondary or in a university. teaching can be defined as a systematic process of transmitting knowledge, attitudes and skills in accordance with professional principles. In the traditional epoch, many teaching practitioners widely apply teacher – centered method to impart knowledge to learners comparative to student – centered methods. Until today, questions about effectiveness of teaching methods on students learning have consistently raised considerable interest in the thematic field of education research, tertiary institutions, teachers use mainly the lecture method which is a teacher - centered method and the implication is that learners are passive and learning tends to be superficial. qualifications of teachers and students’ environment factors do not influence students’ poor performance but teachers’ methods of teaching influence poor performance, regular poor performance by majority students is fundamentally linked to application of effective teaching methods by teachers to impact knowledge to learners the choice of a particular method of teaching by the teacher is determined by the number of factors which includes the content to be taught, the objectives&nbsp; which the teacher plans to achieve, availability of teaching and learning resources and the ability and willingness of the teacher to improvise if conventional teaching aids are not available for the evaluation and follow – up activities to check individual learner differences. Teaching is a process that involves bringing about desirable changes in learners so as to achieve specific outcomes. In order for the method used for teaching to be effective, maintains that teachers need to be conversant with numerous teaching strategies that take recognition of the magnitude of complexity of the concepts to be covered.&nbsp;<br>One of the teaching methods is using flash cards in classroom to help allow the students to understand and remember the subject or material they are having that course session. Specially for language classrooms when learning new vocabularies and synonyms. The flash cards should be attractive and interesting for the students to watch also what ever written on the cards they should be as brief as possible, and both of the cards should be used. There are also disadvantages of flash cards as well one of them it takes a long time for the teacher to create the cards, if the teacher decided to use the card not all the students in the class will see the cards due to the small size of the cards, also this can not be used for all the materials as easy. Examples for flashcards in some fields from preschool for learning colors, name of animals, letters, days of the weeks. and in the other stages such as history classes, writing the date in a side of the cards and in the other the event should be written in order for them to learn and memorize the date as easy as possible with low effort. Another teaching method we talked about in the class was class discussion conducted by teacher. It is an activity that conducted in the classroom in small or big groups, where one speaks the other listen until all of them expressed their own opinions about what they are learning in that class, it is kind of challenging specially to the students who are not very comfortable in public speaking also to those students who tend to distract the group with topics that are away from the main one. The difference between seminar and symposium is that symposium is focused on one serious academic topic and they all have their own opinions, students can lead their own small groups in the discussion sessions while the teacher will be just observers and supervisors to the discussion. The student leader is in charge of leading the speaker to only concentrate on the main objective of the discussion also the leader will not let anyone to disrespect other members of the group or their opinions. The leader can stop the members when they spoke more than their limited time. There are pros and cons of discussion in classrooms students can learn from each other and from old and modern information. These discussions help us think more deeply about the material. Another teaching method is model which is a 3D representation of a person, thing or of a proposed structure, typically on a smaller scale than the origin. It is a set of inter-related components arranged in a sequence which provide guidance to realize specific goals. The importance of this method is helping the students to visualize the objects that they are studying that they are having different sizes than can not be seen by the students easily either microbial size or huge such as DNA or apartments. It gives the students expectation to their projects specially in engineering fields. Another method for teaching is creating a debate in the classroom, basically two groups can be created in the group to debate about one topic, the groups should have different opinions almost the opposite to each other. then at last one group should win the discussion and the other should agree on the winner's opinion. Another essential method is using laboratory for practically learn the objects that they are learning in the classrooms, there are different kinds of laboratories medical, biological, engineering, chemistry, physical and food labs. Each of laboratory have their rules and precaution for people who access the teacher must be available and present when the students are there since some of the subjects that are available in the labs can be a hazard for the students or the users in general.</div>]]></description>
