Most individuals refrain from even indulging in the idea of entering college because of how expensive it could be. Of course there are scholarships and grants, but some people don’t qualify for these types of resources and may feel defeated. 

Loans are also another resource, but with loans, there is an agreement to pay back what was borrowed. Most individuals aren’t able to make payments on the loans or pay them back in general which results in a the loan being in default. Thus the thought of college is sadly set to the side.

Health care practices that deliver adequate patient care regardless of a person's ethnicity, sexual preference, background, etc.

• Affordable healthcare for individuals that have unstable income or do not have income at all. This will allow for ALL individuals of the community to receive patient care, when it is needed. 

• Free health screenings for all individuals of the community. (i.e. blood pressure, vision, dental, HIV/AIDS, and different cancers) 

• Several free clinics posted around the community so no one would have to drive or walk far to receive patient care.

• The community would also include free medications for individuals that cannot afford to pay for them. Most individuals will go without medication, while their conditions are worsened, because they cannot afford the medication that is prescribed. This community will offer free medications, or at least medications at a discounted price.

Individuals in the community that have developmental disabilities may have trouble with socializing with others, retaining employment and expressing feelings towards others. It is important to always emphasize nonjudgmental characteristics and promote equality for all.

Your level of health literacy allows you to navigate the healthcare system appropriately by asking questions, collecting data, knowing what signs/symptoms to report to your healthcare provider, using preventative care and many more concepts. However, in our world we promote the following: asking questions, teach back method with your HCP, providing reliable sources for information, and assistive services if you need clarity or more education related to your healthcare status.

Mandatory rehabilitation for those incarcerated and restoration of rights to those convicted as felons upon release.
Release of nonviolent drug offenders.
Funding for housing for homeless population with programming geared toward integrating them into the workforce.
Clean water afforded to everyone.

Safe environments for individuals of the LGBQTIA community. Many members of this community are discriminated against, bullied, and sometimes even murdered.
