This also ensures that endangered species do not go extinct. This also protects the ecosystem.

One disadvantage is that some less developed countries may not enforce these laws as they do not have enough funding to fully enforce it. However, this would restrict the amount of raw materials we can get.

It is to prevent plant and animal life from being negatively affect. Thus, it is generally very restricted. They put laws into place, which results to people getting heavily fined if they break these laws (e.g. illegally cutting down trees, poaching exotic animals). People conserve remaining tropical rainforests and set them aside for protected areas.

Singapore has 4 protected areas, known as nature reserves, which covers 34 square kilometres. Two of them are the Bukit Timah and Central Catchment Nature reserves.

This provides people with jobs and enable the country to earn money from selling the resources overseas.

It is often very difficult for the country's government to set aside all of the remaining tropical forest as protected areas. This is because of the high economic value and resource extraction activities.

1.The strategy is to let people know the importance of tropical rainforest and why they are under threat.

2.When the people know more about the importance of tropical rainforests, they will most likely play a part in reducing deforestation. For instance, only buying wooden products that come from a sustainably managed forest.

3.People might not heed the advice and ignore and it will be a waste of effort . There also might be a lack of people to teach others. Public education efforts may inadvertently overlook certain communities or indigenous groups whos traditional knowledge.
