         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Isabella was a queen of Castile from 1474 to 1505, and she had to fight civil war to secure her throne. Her marriage to Ferdinand 2 of Aragon began a thirty five year joint rule of a unified Spain by the Catholic Monarchs. At the time of Isabella birth, she was second in line to the throne after her older half brother Henry. Henry was 26 at the time married but childless. Her younger brother Alfonso was born two years later on 17 November 1453, lowering her position to third in line. </div>]]></description>

<br>Isabella was born on April 22, 1451 in the town of Madrigal de las Altas Torres. She died on November 26, 1504 in the castle of La Mota Isabella died at the age of 53. King Ferdinand 2 and Queen Isabella, who had married in 1469 to unite the kingdoms of Aragon and Castile, set out to eliminate heresy in their kingdom, in 1478. King Ferdinand of Aragon marries Isabella of Castile in Valladolid.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Spain in the middle ages had a diverse population of christians, Jews and Muslims Moors. Christians grew in power during the 14th and 15th century, and increasingly began to persecute Jews and force the Moors out of the Iberian peninsula. Many Jews converted to Christianity to escape persecution. On March 31, Ferdinand and Isabella released the Alhambra Decree which declared that all Jews must leave Spain before the end of July.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In January 1492, Moorish forces in Granada, the last Muslim held territory in Iberia, surrenderd  to the armies of Aragon and Castile, completing the reconquest of Spain by the Christians. Tomas de Torquemada himself conviced Ferdinand and Isabella to take actoin against to the remaining Jews and establish Spain as a fully Christian territory. Not all Muslims or Jews were driven from Spain. Some managed to stay if they converted to Christians. Even though they converted to a Christian they weren't a full Christian.
