- I grew up in a small town called Julian, NC. It is about 30 mins outside of Greensboro, NC.

My teacher always had hands on activities planned to engage us in the lessons. For example I remember making Lego cars to help us learn about Newton's Laws of Motion. 
Another science memory that I have is from a high school chemistry course. Reading and writing open up a whole new universe.
