I am so impressed by the creativity of all the students! It is a spectacular show and I am so proud of the student's work. They have used their ICT skills extensively to include: ozobots, programming, selecting copyright material safely from the internet, thinking about their audience, sharing files, organising their work, collaborating, making collecting and storing sound files, mapping a projector across multiple screens- the list is endless. We are so proud of you Y3! Best of luck for the big show on Thursday. Your Mummies and Daddies will be amazed!

What an incredibly mesmerizing and spectacular show Year 3! You had your audience members sitting on the edges of their seats throughout the entire performance. There are so many WOW moments throughout the show that it is impossible to pick out a favourite! So many highlights - the important story message, the brilliant light and sound effects, the range of drama and dance techniques you have employed, the music performances and the incredible computer technology. They all came together to create a truly unforgettable experience. And all chosen and led by yourselves.

Well done for stretching the boundaries and daring to go where no year group has gone before with your light and sound extravaganza. I can’t wait to watch the show again on Thursday evening – your parents are going to love it. Congratulations on all of your hard work and efforts!

Amelia - I think it was so awesome. I liked the faces on the screen. They were trying to tell you to keep the animals safe.

Isis - I liked the ribbons because they were pretty and glowing.

Jacquelyn - I like the robot dance.

Amaia - I liked the end song.

Oscar - I liked it when all of the creatures were dancing.

Cordell - I liked it when the plants grew and they chopped them down.

WOW WOW WOW!!!

What we loved:

- the ribbons and the LED lights.
- the rainbow lights.
- the loud singing.
- 'mother nature'.
- the LED lights.
- the animal performance - and they came out of their different places.
- when the little robot (ozobots) lights were moving around on the boards.
- when you shared different facts about our world and how we need to take care of it.
- the fantastic artwork in the 'underwater scene'.

Wow!!

We really liked how you used the UV lights to show the Earth coming together. In fact we loved the entire light and show extravaganza!
We loved the songs and dances, drumming and all of the effort the performers made.
We loved all of the technology you used. You must have had great fun!
We really liked how you showed the feeling of each scene and when we pollute the Earth more Mother Nature gives us a warning.
There was a really important message in your spectacular performance. Great job!

With a remarkable combination of sound, light and music, Y3 have created a truly spectacular production. We thought the show was extremely creative - especially the ribbons and lighting - and overall an inspiring performance.
The use of gestures rather than speech contrasted with previous year group shows, resulting in a unique and interesting creation. The narration by 'Mother Nature' also added intrigue and detail.
Overall, an extravaganza of light and sound!

Dear Year 3 Team,

Thank you so much for giving the children of Early Years the opportunity to come and watch your fabulous show.

The concept was so very different to that of so many DBIS shows and as a team we have agreed, was extremely successful and innovative. Allowing the audience to think for themselves and make their own minds up as to what they saw was very clever and inspired.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and filled us all in on their personal interpretations of the show all the way back down to EY. They particularly enjoyed the cogs and the jellyfish!

We would like to wish yourselves and the very creative Year 3 children lots of luck for the rest of the week. We have no doubt your extravaganza will continue to amaze and enthuse all who have the pleasure to watch it.

What a brilliant, inspiring, colourful show!
We loved seeing how you used your 'Light and Sound' unit to showcase the learning in Year 3. It was a really different way of performing, but very entertaining and really enjoyable to watch.
We loved the use of the UV lights. LED lights, ribbons, ozobots, singing, dancing and clever transitions.
It is a fantastic display of Enquiry-led learning.

It was a lot better than I expected from year 3, I really liked the singing parts and all of the videos on the white blocks at the side of the hall.

The Best bit in my opinion was the bit with all of the birds, dinosaurs and cavemen.

The bit that needs improvement is the ozobots on the mats because there was no talking.

Overall a wonderful performance well done year 3.

Dear Year 3 WOW!! What an incredible, creative, exciting and inspirational show with such an important message. There are so many aspects of your show that I loved. Primarily for me the fact that the show is the students creation is the most important point - you designed, researched and led this production - you should be hugely proud of yourselves. You incorporated a huge amount of exciting technology to demonstrate your ideas and you combined this with your impeccable singing and careful instrument playing. That was such a marvellous show! It was also a spectacular experience.

You year 3's did so much better than I expected. All the lights were so colourful and neon which I personally LOVE!☄

Y3 do it again!

Y3 blew it away with remarkable lights and music. For us it was definitely a home for all. Light-years away from anything we've ever seen. It was one of the best shows we have ever seen. Y3 were so talented I never knew that Y3 children can be so good. It was such a fabulous show that our hands down our show was not even close to how amazing yours were. Our favourite part of the show were the flashing lights in the background in the end. Also the how it was about the earth and people destroying it. To top off the incredible show it had amazing ways to present how human impact affecting the creations of mother nature. It was truly a light and sound extravaganza.

The show was about to begin, the lights were fading and the Year 3s were hiding in the darkness. Suddenly a yellow appeared out of nowhere, and the show begun. Then, there was another light, shining across the globe, this time brighter than before. Unexpectedly, 4 people with loops of string that seemed endless, and in a blink of an eye, it finish, we loved it so much that we didn’t realize the time go by. A home for all, this was a unique lights and sounds extravaganza that blew EVERYONE away! It was the best one yet.

A Home For All,

A Place You Want To Be.

An exquisite, unique performance by the fabulous actors and actresses in year 3. It was an amazing light and sound extravaganza including wonderful light shows in many different colours. It was a turn for the DBIS shows with not many talking parts from the stage.

It was persuading us to change our ways to make the planet a world you would want to live in. The terrifying warnings from mother nature made us reflect on our current ways.

Jaws dropping, the crowd wowed at the effort that must have been put into the performance. The year 3 teaching team had a huge 1 and a half months working on the preparation and making sure it was absolutely perfect. As always the parents worked extremely hard on the costumes, set and props. The music and ICT team were also a major part in the show. We could never forget to mention the amazing year 3 students as well.

“ Hands down it was a great show for all and I enjoyed it very much” quoted by an impressed Y6 student.

“What a performance, so unique.” quoted by a blown away teacher.

Again it was a one of a kind performance by the Y3 students.

Y3’s performance of the Light and Sound Extravaganza is 2017 first

performance in DBIS and the most stunning.

The technology used in this production is fascinating for example the use of Ozobots, UV lights,the sound effects and the lighting, like using the lightings for a whole disco in the dark and the sound effects which were making you feel like you were part of that whole performance.This show has been jaw dropping it had also been a clapping extravaganza because of all the people clapping for this amazing performance for all. All audiences would have a great experience as how everything is mostly glow in the dark and how they make a mother nature have a voice which echoes all around the globe.It has not only been the students who have worked hard but it has also been the teachers for preparing everything when you watch it, i am sure it will blow you away.

If you like light and dancing than you´ll like the year three show.

An amazing show performed by the fabulous year threes. The dancing was very eye catching,

as well as being performed with character and flare.

This show was unique and special since it was not focusing on acting, it was more focused on dancing and music which was original and a changeup. What a show, and about how careless humans are, it really put in perspective

that we have to change and that mother nature gives and we take, after watching this performance you will be glad to hear that WE are going to change.

We definitely enjoyed every bit of it.

The year 3 show was certain to impress from the very beginning , putting a twist on the classic drama production . The flashing lights left the audience stunned by the talent of the students!!!! It was organised and cleverly put together with the use of the projector giving the show an overall 100% . Music and dance hands down added to the marvelous effect of the light and sound extravaganza . Change for all it reflected our need and passion for mother nature , reminding us how we mistreat our planet. One thing that blew us away was when the landscape on the whiteboard transformed into mother nature speaking for her world . The year 3 show 2017 was one to remember for eternity .

Year 3 show! LIGHT AND SOUND EXTRAVAGANZA

As normal the years threes come back at it with there amazing shows! It was jaw dropping to see what they can do in one and a half hours. The year three classes thats dressed in black clothing with glow in the dark face paint. it looked outstanding and so did the glowing ribbon dance, it looked like flying snakes across the room it was amazing. One and a half months of practice to make this happen! The kids were dancing with glowing faces and hands they started drumming the chair which made an amazing sound.The parents as always worked hard on the costumes and the background with paint which was super creative. A witness has said: I very much enjoyed it, it was so different to what i normally see! - Saskia, DBIS student.

I really liked the peaceful music and mostly the strings dance, jellyfish.Well done Year 3's .I reeled like I was in a theatre.t kinda hurted my eyes but istill enjoy the show.i liked the shadow puppet thingy when the girls cut the tree.fantastic job year 3's !!! :P good job
