The second post is the fallout of Covid-19. The action is how covid-19 had taken legitimately everything from some people.  The irony is that the board with all the problems is set up like the March Madness board for college basketball.  
The last post takes place during the beginning of world war 2 and depicts how the United states took their time before helping the rest of the Allies.  The action of the larger man is letting his clothes hang out to dry in isolation while the allies drown in the ocean.  The drowning is an exaggeration because the United states didn’t see the point of getting wrapped into another world war at the time and they thought that the weakened Germany couldn’t stand up to all of europe.  The irony is that we ended up joining the war and helping the British.
