"war" by Edwin Starr is a song that came out during the Vietnam war to protest it. It evokes many emotions and self reflection of why are we fighting this war in the first place? This sparked many more people to join the peaceful protest all over the United States against the War

I chose "Imagine" by John Lennon for my song from the list. This is because he sings about the heavy materialistic ideals of the human race and image if there wasn't any. This deals with my Civil disobedience because if people and corporations did not value sweatshirts and other items sweatshops would not exist.

My first political cartoon show cases the current political issues we have been facing in the United States, the current issues with the border, job market and gas shortages and how the management in Washington has turned a blind eye to it almost.
The second post is the fallout of Covid-19. The action is how covid-19 had taken legitimately everything from some people. The irony is that the board with all the problems is set up like the March Madness board for college basketball.
The last post takes place during the beginning of world war 2 and depicts how the United states took their time before helping the rest of the Allies. The action of the larger man is letting his clothes hang out to dry in isolation while the allies drown in the ocean. The drowning is an exaggeration because the United states didn’t see the point of getting wrapped into another world war at the time and they thought that the weakened Germany couldn’t stand up to all of europe. The irony is that we ended up joining the war and helping the British.
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1o1qZqJDIoGRhm51yJU71cAKYA7uYhN0_zS7QlrgtOZ0/edit#slide=id.p

My civil disobedience topic is Sweatshops. We as a society have never used the free market so vigorously to get a high quantity of clothes and other goods, it has made gigantic companies turn to cheap unethical physical labor like sweat shops. Some of the biggest companies in the world use them to make all of your clothes. The civil disobedience is the workers who go on strike for fair wages and those who protest by boycotting all these brands.
