This week I wanted to focus on the D.C. Universe and truly understand it before I move on to the Marvel Universe. I first wanted to learn each character in the Universe, before I start ranking them in the Cosmic hierarchy and comparing them to the Marvel characters. I began to look at the new Gods first, because I slightly understand them, unlike much of the other Gods. I found an article about them on the official D.C. comic website. The article summarized the New Gods. It explained the main Gods in the New Gods, like Darkseid, All-Father, Orion, Big Barda, Scott Free, and some others. The article also helped me understand how strong they are and what their background history is. After understanding the new Gods, I wanted to see how their strength stacks against the many other Gods in the D.C. Universe, so I found the article to see where they are ranked. This article was fan made because the D.C. company has never alright stated the hierarchy of the Gods, but I still chose to read it, because the writer of the article had much more knowledge of the D.C. Universe, then me. The new Gods as a whole were ranked 8th on the list. Overall this week I learned that the new Gods are just Cosmic entities within the D.C. Universe that don’t have a purpose. They exist only to continue the plot in some D.C. comic books. They don’t run the Universe that they live in. I also learned that they are some of the weakest Gods in the Universe.

Just like last week, I am focusing on the D.C. multiverse this week, before I move on to the Marvel multiverse and start comparing the companies together and making a cosmic hierarchy of the Gods. To be more precise, I focused on the Monitors, which are God like beings in D.C. multiverse that I know nothing about. I found an article about them on comic vine, which not only explained to me what the Monitors are, but also explained to me the infinite crisis event that happen in comic books, In the 1990s. The article summaries the story line of the infinite crisis event and explained to me the keep point of the Monitors in the event. The Monitors are one of the first beings ever created on in the D.C. multiverse and have the power to go against the Spectre, who is the embodiment of vengeance of the Present (a.k.a. the strongest being in the D.C. multiverse). Form the article I learned that there is an unknown number of Monitors within the multiverse, but the two most popular ones are the Anti-Monitor and Monitor. The infinite crisis event was formed, because the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor were fighting. The Anti-Monitor wanted to control the whole universe and the Monitor wanted to protect the universe. In the story line, the Monitor sacrifice his life to defeat the Anti-Monitor and sent him back to the anti-matter universe.

This week, I am still continuing on focusing on the D.C. multiverse, before I move on to the Marvel multiverse and start comparing the companies together and making a cosmic hierarchy of the Gods. I wanted focus on The Great Evil Beast, since don’t know anything about, expect that he is one of the Strongest being in the D.C. multiverse. I found an article on him in Comic Vine. The article summarized the character and told his main purpose in the DC universe. The Great Evil Beast was their even before creation. He is described to be the dark half of the Presence (aka the strongest character I the D.C. multiverse. He was born even before the DC multiverse, and went into hiding, when God/Presence said, “Let there be light”. After learning the basic information on The Great Evil Beast, I wanted to measure his strength in the DC multiverse, so I did a little more on the Web site. From the website I learned that when The Great Evil Beast attacked the heaven, every God in the Multiverse. Lucifer, the regular superheros, and even Specte, who is the embodiment of vengeance of the Present, were all afraid. The only person that could stop him was the Present himself. This tell me that he is the second strongest being in the DC multiverse.

This week, I wanted to finish my research on the DC universe, so I can start my research on the Marvel Universe, which I know less about. I first found an article about Elaine Belloc, who become The Present (the strongest character in the DC Universe). I did not know much of Ellaine, so I wanted to understand her role and story in the DCU. From the article I learned her whole story of how she went from Mortal-God. The article also helps me understand the strength of Lucifer and Michael, two other Gods in the DCU. After learning the story and roles or Elaine, Lucifer, and Michael, I wanted to understand what the endless were. All I knew about them was that they were stronger than some Gods in the DCU, but were not Gods themselves. I found two article that explained what the Endless are. The Endless are personifications of entities of life and Emotions. They exist in the DCU, because they have to. When the first Human was created, there had to be death, desire, destiny, dream, delirium, destruction, despair, so the seven endless were born that were personification of each of these figures. From understanding the Endless, Elaine, and prior research I am ready to move on to the Marvel Universe. I plan to start my research on the Marvel Gods Next week and finish the research on them in a week or two, so I can start making my product.

This week I wanted to finish my research on the Marvel universe, so I could start making my product next week. I first wanted to get a rough idea on the cosmic hierarchy of the Marvel Universe. I found an article that gave me their opinion on who were the top five strongest Gods within the Multiverse. Form the article, I had a starting point to who I needed to research, because some beings that the article mentioned I honestly did not know who they were. The beings that I needed to research were, Scathan the Approver, Beyonder, and Dreaming Celestial. For each of these being I found an article that talked in debt about their history and their rule in the Marvel Multiverse. Scathan the Approver is a character is an observer. He is Celeatial, a space God, that was created by the One Above All (the strongest being in the marvel Universe) to record the work of the Living Tribunal (the second Strongest being in the Marvel Universe). The Beyonder is from a race of Godlike beings that live outside of the Marvel Universe, and He entered the Marvel Universe to see what it true is. The Dreaming Celestial is a Celestial that rebelled against the other Celestrial, so he was punished into an endless slumber. After I finished my research on the Marvel Universe, I started to plan what I was going to do next week for my product. I also started to write down the Cosmic Heirarchy of the Marvel and D.C. universe because I am done with my research.

This week I wanted to focus on making my product because I am basically done with all my research. I first planned out the formatting of my coffee table book. I wanted to make sure that I had a consistent plan throughout the last few weeks we have left of this project. After making the plan, I started to work on my coffee table book. I made three pages of my book this week. I made the title page with my name and title. I also made the table of context, which I put in all the formatting of my book and put in all the pages that will be in my book. Lastly I made the introduction page. Within the introduction page I did not wanted to spoil the reader on what my book is about, so I hinted at the main idea of my coffee table book and also exampled what are Gods in the comic multiverse. I also started to format other pages of the book, but did not work on them much other than formatting the pages, so when I am ready to start working on them, they will already be formatted. Next week I plan on working on three more pages of my book. The three pages would be, What is D.C., What is Marvel, and the first page explaining the cosmic God hierarchy of the D.C. multiverse.

This week I wanted to continue working on my product (coffee table book). I started working on the D.C. side on my book and finished half of the D.C.. The other half of the D.C. side I will start working on next week. On the half that I worked in this week was the introduction of D.C. comics and Started ranking the other of the Cosmic Hierarchy of the multiverse. In the introduction I explained what D.C. stands for and how it came it be. I also take about the most popular characters in the company and the most popular groups within the company. In ranking the Cosmic Hierarchy, I gave a picture of the character and explained why I think he is at that rank. I also explain who they are, so the reader is not confused. I also worked on a lot of formatting of my book, so can get everything organized. I finish filling in the table of Context, so I know how many pages I am going to have and what each page is going to be about. For next Week I will finish the D.C. side and polish up the work that I started this week.

This week I wanted to finish the D.C. side of my Coffee Table book. I first edited the work that I did last week and fixed some of the formatting of the Text/pages. Next, I finish the cosmic hierarchy order that I had started last week. The ranking of the hierarchy goes up to 12. I also added details on every character that I put on the ranking and explained why I put them there. I will add more characters to the ranking, if I have time when I finish my book. I also add more pictures to the book to make it more pleasing to look at and to match with the text. I plan to start the Marvel side of my book next week, but I will not be able to finish it next week. On the next weekend I have to go to a Muslim competition called mist, will not be able to work on my project a lot. My plan for next week will be to finish the “what is Marvel” page and start the cosmic Hierarchy. This week I had also cited all the pictures that I used and made a plan on what I am going to do for the next few weeks, before this project is due.

This week I wanted to start of the Marvel side of my project. I had finish the D.C. side last week and all that was left of it was the editing. I first started working on the “what is marvel” page of my book. I explained on the page how marvel was started, who started it, and some other trivial fact about marvel. On the same page, I also wrote about the many marvel movies and how much income the movies make. After finishing the “what is marvel page”, I started on the cosmic hierarchy of the marvel Universe. I put the One Above All top on the list because he created the marvel universe. I finished up to the 6 ranking of the cosmic hierarchy. He each character on the ranking I explained why they were rank were they are and who are they. I also edited a portion of the D.C. side, that I finished last week. I plan on finishing the of the marvel side next week and also start comparing copycat characters. For the copycat portion, I will do research to find out who copied who by, finding out which character was released first. I plan on fishing my project next week, so the last few days can be spent on editing my product.

This week I finished up the marvel part of my coffee table book. I first add a little to what I started last week and then I finish the cosmic hierarchy part of the marvel side. I also change the title page of my book because it was not creative enough. Next, I did a bit of more research on the marvel side because I struggle with the marvel lore, and I did not have the cosmic hierarchy plan out in my head, like I did of the D.C. side. After finishing up the marvel side, I started to edit it and review what I wrote. For editing, I first fix some of the formatting of pages and then I started fixing my grammar mistakes. I plan on finishing my project next week because I only have the copycat part left and editing the whole book. For the copycat side will be comparing two characters and tell a summary of them and who copied who. I want find out which company copied more. To find out which character was copied, I will check which character came first. The character that came second was most likely copied. I plan to do at least 5 comparisons in my coffee table book.
