1. Day

My father drove us to Vienna at 0:45 and our plane was taking off at 4am.

We were just walking around Lisbon, and we took a tuktuk trip. Everyone was so nice.

After that we went to a bus station and at 5pm we drove over to Leiria where our “new families” we’re waiting for us. We took a lot of pictures and then headed to our new house.

On wednesday i woke up at 7 and ate breakfast (cereal) We got ready and drove to school 8:10. We had a program in the library and we presented about The Czech Republic and our school and then the portuguesse students did the same.

After that we had a big break and lunch time. We played on the courts and then headed to the cafeteria. The food was good and we moved to class D9. We were talking about Easter in Portugal and Czech. Since the Easter tradition is to paint/decorate eggs we cut out an egg from cardboard box and made an Easter egg in pairs.

3. Day

Today we didnt have classes so we went to the beach. At first it was cold and windy but then it was really hot and we thought we might die. I got closer and more comfortable around Lara and we were just chatting and laughing. We picked up shells and ran around the beach. We even found Michaela and Julie with their ‘families’ and we all played volleyball with the boys. Me and Lara then drove to burger king and ordered food. At 5pm we had a program so we went there. For diner we went to burger king again but i only ordered cocacola. And at night we visited Lara’s grandmother. We had a lot of fun and took dozens of pictures. It was a long and tiring yet fun day.

On Friday we went to school, but our program changed. We had two PE classes in the morning. then we had History and English. i Made many new friends and i hope i can see them on Monday. We even visited Castelo de Leiria, our legs were hurting in the end. otherwise it was a funny day.

5. Day

We had a free day and it was Laura’s birthday so we all went to the beach, we were laughing and joking. The water was cold but we went for a swim anyways. we had picnic and then we walked to another beach. After having fun in the water we all went to look at the reef, it was a beautiful view. We went to the Burger King for dinner again and i ordered a whopper without tomatoes (ofc). We took a lot of pictures and im really sleepy.

6. Day

In the morning we went to a park and we were just playing around. in the afternoon we drove to Nazaré and walked around the beach and the city. My friends went to Vieria beach and we went there later too. The water was extremely cold but i decided to go anyways. i almost drowned because of the waves but it was fun. though i feel like i will be really sick tomorrow. In the night we went to Lara’s auntie and they took me to the city. It was beautiful, they showed me the colloseum at night. We were blasting music in the car and just screaming our lungs out. Almost in the midnight we had dinner (pizza). It was delicious.

7. Day

We went to school and the teachers gave uspapers and we had to make an ‘Easter’ vocabulary. I used chatGPT to search for the words that began with the letters on the paper the teachers gave us. The next thing we were doing was playing peddy paper. We went to the forest and we had to do all the assigments and answer the questions. In the end Michaela and Mary won.

In the afternoon we had lunch and then the portuguesse kids were baking our czech traditional easter food ‘beránek’. Me and my other few friends were helping with the program and we chatted with some random students. We eventually had a talent show, the students were playing music instruments and dancing which was pretty cool. Me and Gabriela as ‘non-talent kids’ were just sitting and watching. There was a party later and of course i didn’t get a single slice of pizza because Michaela almost drowned me with cocacola (idk how that happened. I was just drinking it and she squeezed it in my mouth). Everyone was having fun and dancing and then crying. Me and Gabi just stared at them like total idiots cause we didnt realize what was happening. We all took pictures and then left.

For dinner i had mc’donalds right when the whole shopping centre was closing, i decided to pack my suitcase at 2 am.

8. day

This might’ve been the saddest day. We all were saying goodbyes and we gave each others gifts. Even though i wasn’t on Monday i sure was crying on Tuesday. We took a train to Porto. Porto is such a beautiful city and also a really crowded one. My throat also started to hurt during the day but it wasn’t that bad. After a long time of walking around the city and spending a lot of money we went to the boat trip. First we went to a ‘museum’ or im not sure how to describe it. The woman taught us about living on a boat in the history and showed us a lot of ships. After that we got into small boats and we ‘sailed’ through many rooms. Each room showed different centuries, countries and moments during the past. It was fun, but i was really excited to go on the real ship. The ship took us around Porto and showed us the bridges. It was windy and we all wee cold so we went inside the boat.

We got into our hostel and went to our rooms. I ate the food i bought and then took a shower and brushed my teeth. i fell asleep for a moment and then packed my bag. It was a tiring day so i was falling asleep while packing my suicase.

We walked to the airplane and took off around 10 am. The plane was shaking a little so we were all a little bit scared. Then we went to the train that took us to Horní Moštěnice. We all were so sad to leave. My thoat only hurt more and more and i slept in the plane which was not a good idea since i couldn’t move my neck few hours later.
