The aim of this project is to create a product that reduces tooth decay by increasing motivation of dental cleaning, to increase dental education such as effective techniques and make the over all experience of cleaning your teeth more enjoyable

90+% of the UK has been effected by dental problems at some point in there lives
45% of adults and 33% of children in England don’t have a dentists
0-10 year olds have the worst dental health
Dentist believe that poor dental education is the biggest barrier to good dental health
Dentists want more demonstrations and teaching about dental health routines
12% of the UK follow the proper dental routine

I really like the concept of using it for multiple people. How big is it going to be and is it using the toothbrush to collect data?

sounds cool but im not entirely comvinced itd be that much cheaper than a smart toothbrush depending on how both work (˃͈ ˂͈ )

I really like this one as children struggle with brushing their teeth so it would be good for them to engage with it.you could create a selection of products with different characters on

Havent seen anything like it before could be really cool

Also to be fair regular mirrors are never great as they fog up so even if you made an anti fog mirror that would be good

I like this idea would allow for video tutorials potentially for children e.g. how to floss. Maybe potentially games where the longer the child brushes for the further in distance a character goes making the child want to brush for longer.

I like the idea in general, having a display somewhere like the bathroom sounds useful beyond just cleaning teeth. Would be nice to get the weather or news when I wake up or to be entertained while I shave/use the sink.

Good target market, definitely an impactful product that can result in life long habits . Maybe something small and portable

Love the bright colours very fun. For younger kids they probably won’t have a phone so there would have to be a divide that stays there

I think families would prefer to get the kids something smaller than buy a new mirror

The toothbrushes could come as a set of two with the holder and simple bluetooth shouldn’t be expensive.

The ‘screen’ doesn’t necessarily need to be. a screen it could be a simple LED matrix or E ink?, something that doesn’t give kids more screens

Good ideas all round

This is interesting potentially something like a brush buddy which can carry their tooth brush and toothpaste when travelling like a teddy bear

Could you make it inbuilt fush with the wall or something as the long electrical wires for regular toothbrush chargers are really anoying especially in a bathroom

Really interesting as this brushing is really important for this age group. Can help promote brushing 2 times a day, good prospect in the market for this. Can be a cool physical product

Playful form and feel of the holder would be really fun and could age with the child/user

I think a smart tooth brush holder could be interesting if it maybe tracked the times you brush your teeth by the toothbrush being removed and when it’s not been removed in your usual time frame it notifies you or begins to make a sound maybe

I think it's great for kids to learn to take care of their teeth. To me I think something for the whole household would be good as well to keep on track and all have good health.

Integrate mouth hygiene as well including the tounge and gums. Could have educational aspects to learn consequences of not cleaning

I like this one best feel it's more for diverse amount of people as you could have kids version too. Would be more eaffprdabke than smart mirror. Could possible be a travel version to take away
