The main hero of our story is Zuzia Jabłońska. In the year of 2010 she was 8 and she started her second grade in school. Then she started to suffer from Tourette syndrome. 

 

2 JAGODA

The first symptoms of Tourette's syndrome showed up when Zuzia was in elementary school. It was second grade, when our main character found out that she has that kind of disorder. At that moment she didn't know very well what it is and how hard it will be to live with it. At the age of 9 her world collapsed. 

 

3 JAGODA

Before the diagnosis Zuzia had a lot of friends but because of the „silly faces" she made, they no longer wanted to be her friends. Other students were making fun of her all the time. She couldn't find acceptance and never felt comfortable again in this school. When it turned out that she had Tourette, she was suddenly alone.   

 

4  MARTA

Zuzia was so unhappy because other children were laughing when she had an attack of her illness. She didn't want to be different. She started to cry but nobody wanted to make friends with her. She was alone only because she did a weird face. But she couldn't control it. 

 

5 MARTA

If there is anyone in the world who can get used to being different, Zuzia certainly doesn't have this skill. But she didn't give up, she had a plan. When she changed school, she was hopeful that other children would understand why she makes strange faces. She was nervous but happy too.

Along with school change Zuzia dared to talk about her feelings and exclusion that she experienced in her previous school.

She talked about how she suffered because she was different. That was really hard struggle.

After what her classmates heard, nothing was as easy as expected. Thanks to her story, they understood how hard it is to be special, not matching most of the people and that they will never be indifferent towards harm to others.

 Zuzia started going to singing lesson as a hobby. When she went there it turned out that she had a natural talent for music and started to focus on it more. She finally found something that made her happy and that let her forget about her disease and being bullied in the past. She could easily express herself through music without the fear of being judged by anyone.

 She also learned one more thing from these lessons. That thing was that her syndrome wasn't showing any effects while she was singing! That made her passion for it even bigger. Music not only was a fun hobby, it was also a way to overcome her disease and boost her self-esteem. She also knew that through art she can raise awareness about problems of people with the same disease. Now she absolutely knew that singing is what she wants to do in her life!
 
 

10 ZUZIA

After she had learnt how to live with her illness, she improved her singining and she decided to take part in a music competition called 'The Voice Kids'. She thought that it's good to share her story with others and maybe help people to deal with their illnesses and find the strength to figh against such problems.

11 ZUZIA

After many stages of the competition she got into the grand final. In the programme she showed her amazing voice and competed with others. She didn't win but she took the second place singing her own single. She gained popularity and recognition as an artist.

12.  WERONIKA
 Now, after all her struggling, Zuzia is very cheerful when she is singing. She loves singing all the time and propably she can be a motivation and inspiration for all of us. In spite of the annoyance she gets power to show people how strong she is.

She had an interview in one of the most popular Polish morning programs called “Pytanie na śniadanie”- english “A question at breakfast”. She told her story and made 

 the jounalist surprised. Why? They couldn’t imagine that this young girl had so many adversities in her short life!

 

WSTĘP

Głównym bohaterem naszej opowieści jest Zuzia Jabłońska. W roku 2010 miała 8 lat i rozpoczęła drugą klasę w szkole. Potem zaczęła cierpieć na zespół Tourette'a.

 

2 JAGODA

Pierwsze objawy zespołu Tourette'a pojawiły się, gdy Zuzia była w szkole podstawowej. To była druga klasa, kiedy nasza główna bohaterka dowiedziała się, że ma tego rodzaju zaburzenie. W tym momencie nie bardzo dobrze wiedziała, co to jest i jak ciężko będzie z tym żyć. W wieku 9 lat jej świat się zawalił.

 

3 JAGODA

Przed diagnozą Zuzia miała wielu przyjaciół, ale ze względu na „głupie miny”, które robiła, nie chcieli już być jej przyjaciółmi. Inni uczniowie cały czas się z niej naśmiewali. Nie mogła znaleźć akceptacji i nigdy nie czuła się komfortowo znowu w tej szkole. Gdy okazało się, że ma Tourette'a, nagle została sama.

 

4  MARTA

Zuzia była taka nieszczęśliwa, bo inne dzieci śmiały się, kiedy miała atak choroby. Nie chciała być inna. Zaczęła płakać, ale nikt nie chciał się z nią zaprzyjaźnić. Była sama tylko dlatego, że zrobiła dziwną minę. Ale nie mogła tego kontrolować.

 

5 MARTA

Jeśli na świecie jest ktoś, kto potrafi się przyzwyczaić do bycia innym, to Zuzia na pewno nie ma takiej umiejętności. Ale nie poddała się, miała plan. Kiedy zmieniła szkołę, miała nadzieję, że inne dzieci zrozumieją, dlaczego robi dziwne miny. Była zdenerwowana, ale też szczęśliwa.

 

6 TYMEK

Wraz ze zmianą szkoły Zuzia odważyła się opowiedzieć o swoich uczuciach i wykluczeniu, których doświadczyła w poprzedniej szkole.

Opowiadała o tym, jak cierpiała, ponieważ była inna. To była naprawdę ciężka walka.

 

7 TYMEK

Po tym, co usłyszeli jej koledzy, nic nie było tak łatwe, jak oczekiwano. Dzięki jej historii zrozumieli, jak trudno jest być wyjątkowym, nie pasującym do większości ludzi i że nigdy nie pozostaną obojętne na krzywdzenie innych.

 

8 PATRYK
 Zuzia jako hobby zaczęła chodzić na lekcje śpiewu. Kiedy tam pojechała, okazało się, że ma naturalny talent do muzyki i zaczęła się na nim bardziej skupiać. W końcu znalazła coś, co ją uszczęśliwiło i pozwoliło zapomnieć o chorobie i prześladowaniu w przeszłości. Mogła z łatwością wyrazić siebie poprzez muzykę bez obawy, że ktoś ją oceni.
 
 9 PATRYK
 Nauczyła się też jeszcze jednej rzeczy z tych lekcji. Chodziło o to, że jej syndrom nie wykazywał żadnych efektów, gdy śpiewała! To sprawiło, że jej pasja do tego była jeszcze większa. Muzyka była nie tylko zabawnym hobby, ale także sposobem na przezwyciężenie choroby i zwiększenie jej poczucia własnej wartości. Wiedziała też, że poprzez sztukę może podnosić świadomość problemów ludzi z tą samą chorobą. Teraz absolutnie wiedziała, że ​​śpiewanie jest tym, co chce robić w swoim życiu!
 
 

10 ZUZIA

Kiedy nauczyła się żyć ze swoją chorobą, poprawiła śpiew i zdecydowała się wziąć udział w konkursie muzycznym „The Voice Kids”. Pomyślała, że ​​dobrze jest podzielić się swoją historią z innymi i może pomóc ludziom radzić sobie z ich chorobami i znaleźć siłę do walki z takimi problemami.

11 ZUZIA

Po wielu etapach konkursu dostała się do wielkiego finału. W programie pokazała swój niesamowity głos i rywalizowała z innymi. Nie wygrała, ale zajęła drugie miejsce, śpiewając własny singiel. Zyskała popularność i uznanie jako artystka.

12.  WERONIKA
 Zuzia śpiewa przy fortepianie.

Teraz, po tych wszystkich zmaganiach, Zuzia jest bardzo wesoła, kiedy śpiewa. Cały czas uwielbia śpiewać i prawdopodobnie może być dla nas wszystkich motywacją i inspiracją. Pomimo irytacji ma moc, by pokazać ludziom, jaka jest silna.

Zuzia występuje w “PnŚ”

Udzieliła wywiadu w jednym z najpopularniejszych polskich programów porannych „Pytanie na śniadanie” - angielski „Pytanie na śniadanie”. Opowiedziała swoją historię i zrobiła

dziennikarz był zaskoczony. Czemu? Nie mogli sobie wyobrazić, że ta młoda dziewczyna miała tyle przeciwności w swoim krótkim życiu!
