Last week I came into college to enrol and brought my GCSE grades in and met new staff. I had to communicate on why I wanted to do travel and tourism, this allowed me to develop my communication skill by sitting with the course leader and made sure they knew what I wanted to do and what I wanted to get out of collage. What I think I did well was if I was unsure on something I made sure to ask about it.

Another way, I think I did great communication was at work. When take a customer order and ensuring I asked the questions to make sure the food they wanted was right. This allowed me to develop my communication skills by making my more confident knowing I was able to do everything right. I could have seemed more happy when taking the order.

The last way I have used communication is with my manager. They was giving me the hours on my contract so I communicated with them told them how it made me feel and this allowed them to up my hours to ensure I got all the hours I wanted. This allowed me to feel independent and allowed me to know I can solve stuff without my mum. What I did well was getting my point across and ensuring they understood why I needed the hours.

As I started college I showed team work when we had to work in groups and create a chair. We all listened to each other and started to button all our ideas together while having to put the balloon chair together. We was given different tasks and ensure our chair became how visions and not how we didn’t expect it to go. They was some ups and downs while making it but we all thought together how to fix it and we was able to fix it and make the chair able to sit on with one person, 2 people wasn’t able to but we was able to fit one on.

another way had our exam that showed team work, since we had to make the script together and we all made sure we had the right amount of air time within the script and ensured everyone had said enough to show what we was capable of. We also revised and ensured we all understood everything that was going off and ensured our script was perfect ready for exam. We all gave our opinions on what needed added and at the end our exam came out how we wanted it to.

The last way I have showed teamwork is at work. They was a new store that opened up in Barnsley I went and on open day we all showed that we could work as a team to ensure everything was getting done quickly due to it being really busy as it was a new store. I helped people who was struggling due to everyone stressing but we all worked together to make sure everything worked out how we wanted. Even though people struggled and some thought it was easy we all stood by each others sides to ensure we was able to do it and I became a leader to ensure everyone was working as a team and took over the managers job.
