At first anime was made for the Japanese audience mainly more of the adult audience in japan but then Americans (more like children) were intrigued about anime and took a liking of it. That's was when it became more known/famous everywhere. although some adults have different thoughts on it, saying its just a cartoon don't understand the art style that comes with it.  and it's considered art just because of who they are? 

yeah I think they take advantage of their title jus so they can paint how bland they want to and still make money off of it. its honesty stupid when there are true artist trying to make in the world of art with true paintings and they cant because "ther has to be a deep meaning in it" 

2) Would you pay 1000000 for one of these paintings? 

 I would not pay any money for those painting when I can easily make one like that and keep it to myself.

3) Do you think art is in the "eye of the beholder?" 

in a way, yes i think art is the "eye of the beholder." everyone's perspective on something is different. no one looks at anything the same. what I see and what another person see will never be the same. and that's why sometimes things can be strange to me and not to them.
