The religious event, called “Pagsisiyam”, commenced on September 1 and marked the beginning of nine days of preparation prior to the fiesta.


Catholic practices such as Novena Masses, flower offerings, and grand procession took place during the nine days of preparation until the official fiesta celebration.


St. Nicholas of Tolentino is known for his miracles of healing, being declared as the “Patron Saint of the souls in Purgatory”, against epidemic diseases, and as an advocate against fires.
