If you look at this website, there are a breakdown of prefixes and suffixes. It does a review of prefixes such as -re, -un, -dis, and -mis. The meaning behind each is that un- (means "not"), re- ("again"), in- ("not") and dis- ("not"). Next, it discusses suffixes such as –er, -est, -ier, -iest. Finally, it discusses unique prefixes and suffixes, and the scenarios when you should use them.
