1. The natural hazard of uprooted trees. Uprooted trees can first of all destroy houses and also can be a big impact on the environment.
2. From the destroyed houses, there are an excess about of debris and this means polluting the area. Some of the debris were thrown in the Great Barrier Reef causing major coral damage.
3. The Great Barrier Reef was damaged, some corals were dislodged, excavated and damaged vegetation and beaches.
4. Fish and marine animals suffocated because mud filled up their lungs. The mud was brought upwards by the violent waters.

How did the hazard form?

The hazard was a cyclone and cyclones form with a combination of very warm sea water and energy. The eye of the cyclone is the main focus, but the areas is most affected because of the strong wind. A lot of energy comes together in one place which results in thunderstorms. In some places in the ocean starts circulating and release energy. The energy from the thunderstorms can make a tropical cyclone. Which was what Cyclone Larry was, because tropical cyclones are very common in Australia since Australia is located in the tropics.

Many houses, shelters, and belongings were lost which have an emotional impact on people as well as the question of where they were going to live. The social impact was positive. It brought people from Innisfail and other areas that were affected together and more than 150 people from all around Australia joined the cleanup and helped re-open damaged schools. That was equal to more than 6000 hours of community service.

High pressure areas usually have clear skies. Isobars are closer together. The numbers rise up as they head towards the high pressure area.
Low Pressure (L) - air mass that has less dense air because the surrounding air is moist or warmer. With low pressure systems, storms are on the way or are there already. Low pressure areas are stormy. Isobars are further apart. Storms are characterised by a T in the middle isobar.
