I work as a wedding dress technical, I love my job.

My job Consist in industrialize the new collections and giving support to the dressmakers and after these dresses must pass a quality control. I love travel and visit different countries and cultures.

For me, learn English is hard, but I think it's very important nowaday ( job, travel, find new friends, etc...)

I am working in a company that is the spanish partner of an IT German company, who developes planification (shifts and presence) software.

I am learning english again after 25 years without study english . I think that I need to have a better comunication with the developers,with them, the common language is english.

Also, my daughters (10 and 17) want to watch movies and series in VO, and I don't understand anything 😭😭

I'm Gwen, I live in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, a small town fifteen minutes away from Barcelona.

At the moment I'm working and studying but one of my current goals is to improve and reinforce my english level, specially my speaking and communication skills, because over the last years I have been losing it (due to not practice it) and I would like to catch up with the level I used to have and improve it even more.

So this course I will be one hundred percent willing to combine studies, work and english learning.

I am in the final year of my Business and Management degree, and I am looking for opportunities to do my curricular internship. I have been a basketball coach at Juventut Les Corts for five years.

I am a runner and will run my second half marathon in San Sebastián this November. I also enjoy watching the show Operación Triunfo.

I attended an academic program while I was in school, and last semester I did an Erasmus in Brussels, where I learned a lot. Now, I want to achieve the B2 level because I will need it for work.

I am very positive and motivated to learn as much as possible in this course.

My name is Lourdes. I was born in a village in Huesca, but I came to live in Barcelona when I started working as a primary school teacher. 

I'm retired now, so I have plenty of time to do what I love. 

I started studying English right after I retired, first at an adult school, but the level there was very low, and when I finished, I stopped studying for two or three years, until last year when I signed up at the EOI, where things are very different.

I like languages, so I'm also studying French, this year a sort of seminar about French songs.

After retiring, I also learned to sew, and time flies when I do it. 

I love mountaineering and dancing zumba.

And traveling!

And even though I'm not a big reader, I can appreciate and enjoy a good book.

My name is Lorena and I live in Sants.

I'm studying second year of "batxillerat" in the social-humanistic branch.

In my free time I really enjoy reading and listening to music, also spending muy time studying and watching movies.

As for my expierience with english, I have studied in two academies (Kids&Us and Today school) before coming here, the EOI.

Now, it makes me really excited to be part of this year, and I hope to learn many new things and improve my English a lot.

My name is Maria and I was born in Barcelona. Despite that I spent all my childhood in Vilafant (Alt Empordà).

When I was eighteen, I moved to Barcelona to study a telecommunications engineering degree. After finishing my degree, as I was already working in Barcelona and my parents had moved to Tarragona, I decided to stay here!

At my job, I've worked on diverse projects. I started doing coverage studies for municipalities, but now I'm doing audiovisual projects (like for museums or auditoriums) and security projects, such as video surveillance.

That said, my passion is cinema and photography, and I would love to find a job where I can combine my studies with my passion. However, I’m not actively searching yet, because I first want to study a Master’s in Computer Vision. The only drawback is that a B2 level in English is mandatory, and that’s the reason why I’m here!

My name is Liss, I'm from Colombia but I have been living here for 7 years and I am 16 years old.

I'm studying first year of baccalaureate about technology while I take this course.

I'm a dedicated, studious and a positive person. In my free time I go to the gym, before I was practicing volleyball but I got different injuries that made me put it aside, but normally I don't have much free time to do other things than study.

I currently work for the Catalan Government in the field of education. Actually, If you look at my university degree, I’m a contemporary historian,  but I ‘ve never worked in that.

Hello everyone!

I'm Inés and I was born in Barcelona, where I currently live. Although I live very close to Hospitalet de Llobregat.

At this moment I'm working at the "Generalitat de Catalunya" but I've worked before in the private sector as a lawyer. I've always combined the studies with work, like I'm doing now with the lessons of english. I like to spend my time doing things that allow me to learn and imporve so that's why I use to combine work and studies.

Also that, I like to travel and discover new places, cultures and languages so if I have a few free days I try to organize a express trip.

I've learned english at the school and when I start working I continue the lessons of english in a online course but it was too hard for me to work, study the master, prepare the exam of acces to be able to work as a lawyer and the english lessons so, at the end I less the english for the future. Now I'm in a moment that I have more time so that's why I've decided to study english again.

My name is David and I was born in Barcelona. I have always lived in Barcelona and in the same neighborhood, too.

Nowadays, I'm working as a product manager in an advertisement company.

Due to most of our clients being foreigners I need to improve my English because we have a lot of meetings with them.

My favorite things to spend my free time in are sport, gastronomy and visit new countries with friends and family.

Four times a week I practice sport, during the weekend I like to discovery new restaurants of different kinds of food and I try to take three trips along the year.

I have studied in EOI for three years and I hope that this year will be as interesting as the previous years.

My name is Jiayan, and I’m from China. I have been living in Barcelona for 3 years. I came to Barcelona as a university exchange student because my major in China was Spanish. And now I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Events Management. I am introvert, but I am always willing to make new friends. 

Since I started learning Spanish, I became interested in learning different languages. At the moment, I’m also studying Catalan.

Speaking of my hobbies, music is a big part of my life and I can’t live without it. Sometimes, I listen to music to learn English. I like watching TV series and my favorite is How I Met Your Mother. I have already watched it 3 times.

I started studying English since I was in the Primary School, so I have studied it over 12 years. But when I was in the university, I neglected my English studies and I’ve forgotten quite a bit. However, I’ve realized that English will be frequently used in my future career that’s why I would like to pick it up again.

My name is Ana, and I was born in Barcelona. I have been married since 1992 and I have a girl and a boy. I live with my husband and my son in a flat.

I have worked at the Barcelona University as a civil servant since 1990. 

My hobbies are going to the theatre and the cinema, but I go more often to the cinema because it’s cheaper than the theatre. In my free time, I like reading books and listening to rock and pop music. My favourite sport is swimming in a swimming pool. Also, I like hiking in the mountains.

I started to study English when I was younger at my secondary school, but later I stopped studying it until 2022 when I enrolled at EOI. Nowadays, I’m studying B2.1 level of English because I like travelling to foreign countries. In my job, I sometimes speak with foreign students and I have a lot of problems to understand them.

Three years ago, when I started to study English at EOI Sants. I never dreamt that I could arrive at this level.

I actually work in a hospital in the surgery department. I love my job; however, sometimes it is hard work because we have oncological patients.

In my free time I like to go to the cinema or to the theater. When I go to the cinema, I usually choose the original version and improve my English!. I recommend the Texas cinema; it's a small cinema in the Gracia quarter, the films are always show in original versions, and the tickets have a good price!.

 I was born in BCN long time ago, same as our constitution. Now, I’m living in Hospitalet del Llobregat in the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia.

I’m working in a business advisory office as an accountant and tax advisor, specifically VAT

On the other hand, I’m currently studying a degree in Business Administration and Management at UOC college.

I love boardgames, reading fantasy and science fiction novels and also watching movies.

I started learning English eleven years ago, but I gave it up several times for different reasons. Nevertheless, last year I studied English in college, and it encourage me to go on studying and improving my knowledge.

I'm Marga, I was born in Barcelona . I'm married and I had a three sons and i have living in Barcelona always.

I'm surgeon but nowadays I'm retired and finally I can spend time to learn English, although I started older and that I have a hard time retaining vocabulary and especially understanding spoken English i'm happy because I never thought that I could arrive at this level, and I want to keep learning.

My motivation to learning English at this time of my life is because I like to travel and get to know new countries and I want to be

My name is Karla, I am 26 years old. I was born in Ecuador, but when I was 4, I moved to Barcelona. Since then I lived in Hospitalet de Llobregat.

I work and study. Last year, I completed my degree in Chemical Engineering at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Now, I am doing an internship in a factory that distributes natural gas in Barcelona. Moreover, I am studying a Master's degree in production management and industrial automation in OBS Business School.

I love music, especially pop music, so I enjoy go to concert of diferents singers and bands. I also do Crossfit twice a week, and in my free time, I watch TV series or some movie or serie in Netflix.

I have studied English at other academies but last year I joined EOI and it was the best decision I made. I got my B1 level and now I want to get my B2 certificate. I would like improve my writing and listening skills to feel more confident at work.

My name is Sergi and I currently live in Sants. I was raised in l’Hospitalet. I’m 45 years old and I have two daughters, aged 5 and 7.
I studied Geography, and I currently work for a Spanish real estate company, where I’m in charge of everything related to geographical information.
I like to spend my free time with my family between L’Ametlla de Mar (a village in Terres de l’Ebre) and La Pobla de Segur (in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees). I really enjoy exploring the territory, learning about its history, and so on.
My main goal in this course is to improve my English. It’s necessary for my job because we need to talk with colleagues from other countries.
I’ve tried to learn English several times in my life—at school and in language academies—but I’ve never reached my goals. It’s my 'cross to bear”. I hope this time will be different.

My name is Elm Planas Masdevall. I was born in Banyoles, and I have 19 years old. Now I live in Barcelona because my studies. I study civil engineering, second year, in UPC, Campus Nord, up in the Diagonal. I live in a flat with one friend of university. I stay in Barcelona in the week, but in the weekend I go back to Banyoles. Also, I do athletics, in middle distance and long distance. I like to play piano too, and sometimes I do small concerts. I also like football a lot, and I am very much Barça fan.

My name is Mercè and I was born in Barcelona, but I've been living in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat for twenty years with my family in a flat.

Nowadays I don't work, so I have more free time which I spend with my family, friends and hobbies.

About my likes, I really like travelling and knowing new cities in my own country and another countries abroad as well. Also, I like hicking the mountains, specially La vall de Camprodon (Camprodon Valley) or La Garrotxa.

I studied English for few years when I was younger, but I didn't learn it enough and one day I decided I wanted to improve my English. I've been learning English in EOI sants for three years.

My name is Toni and I would like to be able to share this English course with you again. I already know most of you and I want to welcome the new students.

I live in Barcelona, ​​near the Ciudadela park. I am a lawyer and have worked for around 42 years, although I am currently retired.

One of my hobbies has always been learning English. When I was younger, in high school, I studied English but never achieved a good level. Therefore, I am here to try to improve it.

One of my hobbies is listening to music also I love playing volleyball and spending time with my friends. I’ve studied since I was little English, at school and academy but two years ago I stopped studying at the academy because I didn’t have enough time.

My name is Ivan. I am 47 years old. I was in barcelona and I lived in the city until I was 27 yeras old. Then I bought a flat in a nearby town called Montcada.

In my free time I like to play sports, and specially, I enjoy water sports. I like doing water sports like surfing, paddleboarding and diving.

I also really enjoy traveling to exotic countries.

When I travel I take the opportunity to go diving because you can see many types of animals. It’s amazing and very relaxing for me!

As for English, my level has developed over the years, but not as much as I would have liked. I haven’t attended many extra courses outside school, so most of my knowledge comes from my school years. However, I can understand English quite well and I can manage in different situations.
