For a couple very specific pieces, writing correctly might be more important, but you also need creativity to know what you want to write. If you have nothing to write, how can you write correctly?

I think it is more important to write creatively than it is to write correctly. When I write my drafts I just sit down and write. You cannot edit something that isn't there and trapped in your head. You can always go back and edit and have your teacher or peers search through your work to find mistakes. I think it is crucial to write creatively because that is what keeps you and the readers entertained.

I think it is important to have good grammar and sentence structure. As well have having writing creatively. However there is a certain extant to creative writing that is to far. In this day of age creative writing has become making up grammar rules to the point where it is unreadable. I believe both are equally important. Passion and interest are the base factors of writing, but to communicate those feelings effectively means correct writing can champion creative writing. Many authors chose creative writing which is why we have poetry, iconic children's books, and other fun forms of writing. Despite this creativity, to understand different forms of writing, they have to be correct.

Writing correctly is more important in my opinion. Even the most creative papers need to make some sense. An author may have an original and imaginative vision for their paper, but without writing it correctly, the readers may not understand it and therefore struggle to appreciate the creativity.
