Because of this act the sea turtles are dieing and becoming extincted. They started disappering about in the 1980,s. They stared to disapper because the poachers stared to seel the  eggs  for money and  the  baby turtles would not survie. He started by putting a team together and told the poachers to sell him the eggs. Then he would teach the poachers how to make a living by farming, raising bees, guiding touristis , and making crafts. Next he made special hactcheries for the sea turtle eggs. Then he launched a big media campaign for the sea turtles and he taught school programs about the sea turtles. Last he released the first town's hatchery day to celebrate saving the sea turtles. He is  wonderful and still today he saving the lives of many sea turtles and  Jose's goal was to end the demand for the sea turtle eggs and to save sea turtles by motivating people.
