These three phases serve as a guide and reference for the mentoring journey.

• Phase 1 (Exploration) from Jan 2025 to May 2025: To help youth leaders explore and articulate their interests, goals, and potential areas of impact.

• Phase 2 (Exposure) from June 2025 to Aug 2025: To deepen youth leaders' understanding of issues they care about and expose them to suitable learning opportunities/platforms that equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute constructively.

• Phase 3 (Identification) from Sept 2025 to Nov 2025: To identify youth leaders who have demonstrated leadership capabilities, including their ability to inspire and rally others around their causes, and potential for further development.

Seeking your assistance to nominate youth leaders for a new leadership called Youth Leaders Collective (YLC) organised by NACLI. Details below:

About YLC

The YLC is designed to inspire and empower our next generation of community leaders aged 17-19 years old who possess an innate passion to serve the people and champion societal change.  It is made up of 16 contacts days spanning over 10 weeks, exposing youth leaders to various community causes and enabling them to find a cause that matters to them which they can advocate.

The YLC programme was first announced on 28 Sep 2024 at NACLI’s 60^th anniversary celebrations by PA’s Deputy Chairman, Minister Edwin Tong.  Minister highlighted that it is crucial we develop the next generation of community leaders that can foster social cohesion, facilitate ground initiatives and lead Singapore forward as community leaders form the backbone of our social fabric. This programme aims to inspire and empower youth leaders aged 17-19 years old to advocate for community causes and initiate their own ground-up initiatives.

Nomination Process

Participation in the YLC is by nomination only. NYC is currently working out a preliminary list of youth leaders who may qualify for the programme.

We would like to seek your help to nominate 2 potential candidates from your watch who may qualify for and benefit from the YLC programme.

With this preliminary list, NYC will seek further clearance before reaching out to the youths to seek their availability.

Nominated youths will then have to complete the nomination form and send it to NACLI, where they will follow-up thereafter.

About Wayfinder Workshop

The Wayfinder workshop provides an opportunity for OSLP alumni to discover themselves through a 2-day workshop.

Through activities like vision boards, empathy walks, and creative problem-solving, they will get to:

1. Discover and articulate strengths, and connect them to application in real life;

2. Gain clarity on their personal values, and what truly matters and drives them; and

3. Build confidence in contributing meaningfully to causes larger than themselves, while staying true to their values and purpose

As part of their leadership development beyond OSLP, this workshop is specially designed to be both reflective and action-oriented, ensuring they leave with not just insights, but practical tools to begin their journey of purposeful impact.
