The first is Digital Proficiency. Digital Proficiency means being able to understand, select and use technologies.
The second is Digital Literacy. Digital Literacy is about cognitive and intellectual competency. It involves being able to apply technological skills when creating, reading, and making judgements.
The third is Social Competence. Year 8 should focus on consolidating the skills of the students and ensuring they all have a similar level of digital fluency.
In Year 9, students should be exposed to new experiences and skills with technology.
Year 10 should develop students' individual digital fluencies based on their skills and interests.
In Year 11, the digital fluencies of the students should be extended into new contexts.
Finally, in Year 12, it is hoped that the students are digitally proficient.
