Classical composers are known to be the examples when it comes to making timeless music. Timeless music is a tune that is the basis of what good music sounds like. This form of art cannot be modified because it is too respected on a popular level. If you were to copy a classical tune you must copy the piece note by note perfectly. A canon is a composition that is seen as perfection from a majority. Sadly, a classical composition is not decided by you. It is decided by the victors. I do not think someone could make a classical piece now. Even if it aged it would be seen as being influenced by the original classical canons. It is impossible for a piece to be as popular as a classical canon that has aged.
