People were all trying to get equal rights, and it wasn't just one type of people. The United Farm Workers were for getting Mexican Americans better working conditions. The National Organization of Women was working towards getting women equal rights and pay. The American Indian Movement was also put in place, trying to protect their land, beliefs, and even history. The most memorable of these was the civil rights movement, the fight for power of African Americans. This was mainly lead by MLKJ, in which many demonstrations and protests were held.

The postwar boom caused many people to be prosperous and also allowed many people to get more rights. Whites moved into suburbs so they could all be around each other. Cities were improved for the African Americans who still lived there.

Analyze the social and political effects of the continuing population flow from cities to suburbs, the internal migrations from the Rust Belt to the Sun Belt, and the increase in immigration resulting from passage of the 1965 Immigration Act.

There were many causes and effects of immigration in the US and into the US. Within the US, people began to move into suburbs and out of cities. Whites did this in fear of African Americans. This caused a renewal of cities to improve living conditions. For example, the insertion of I-70 in Columbus moved people from the South Side into the suburbs. The immigration Act of 1965 also allowed more people into the US regardless of current populations. This caused an increase of immigratio. For example, nearly 4 times as many Asians began coming to the US.

Explain why the government’s role in the economy, environmental protection, social welfare, and national security became the topic of political debates between 1945 and 1994.

The government's role was so important because of the elections and also the new laws being made. The Many people believed the government should do as little as they can, providing only basic structure to life in the US so people can have a chance to make the most of their life. Others believe that government should take more power in hopes of making everyone equal, not letting one person get ahead or be more successful than another.
