In the school where I teach we are given a good deal of autonomy. Needless to say, the authorities keep a watchful eye on all the staff and their actions and efforts to keep things going in the right direction, but all in all it's us ourselves who can shape the process of teaching and the methods we use to optimise our vision. Every staff meeting is a good opportunity to discuss problems, brainstorm solutions and point out whatever might be impractical or unviable. The IT man deals with all the glitches and the whole of the school network, but we have one more coordinator who is in charge of the e-class register, our logins and passwords and our Teams accounts in times of remote teaching. The hierarchy is established so everybody knows their bit and where to turn to if a problem crops up. If we need some new equipment we have to write an application to the chief headmistress, then we do some waiting and within a few days-weeks we get supplied with what we need. You may find it interesting that at the height of the second lockdown the majority of teachers in Poland were offered a one-off funding from the government to replace any part of our private IT equipment (e.g. speakers, portable cameras, computer screens, software etc) which need fixing. The subsidy scheme was publicly announced both in national media and within the schools and the process of allocating the money was swift and without too much paperwork along the way. We only had to present the original invoice for the item we bought to restock our digital home office, then the school secretary gave us a list to sign, the list was to be approved by the headmistress and within 2-3 weeks the subsidised sum was right on our bank accounts. Good leadership is largely about efficient communication.

We already use SELFIE, but is results didn't make any effect in the school policies. I think the awareness of the Director with the lack of time is more focus in the managing of personal and burocratic stuff.

In some extension, but I think it could be more focused in progress and in effective results, and more wide extension of opinions.

No, but the report of SELFIE was made and analysed by three teachers that lissen some more in the elaboration of the analisys of SELFIE results.

It should be totaly, but there's no decisions coming out from this processes.

We have a good strategy for infrastructure and equipment, continuing professional development, enhancing teaching and learning, assessment practices and students digital competences. We have used SELFI in our school and teachers/ students/ leaders have been questioned. 78% of the subjects consider CDP activity as useful or highly useful: learning through collaboration, face-to-face or online professional learning, or even learning through professional networks.

My school leadership has put together a PADDE team in order to address the digital necessities of the whole school community.
The decisions have been taken together with other school teachers, so the reflection on what steps to take, concerning the digital transition, was not single-handed.
Afther the plan was designed, the whole community was informed on what steps had been taken, so that we all can work together to achieve the goals that were set.

The headteacher at my school has requested that we upload all materials in the LMS platform we use, and we are required to use technology in class, although we work in a quite autonomous way, we are asked to introduce different digital activities to keep students engaged and motivated and we are encouraged to take training courses to provide the students with the best possible education.

Although our headmaster only started his functions a few months ago, he had to present prior to his selection an action plan. In his action plan he presented his assessment of the state of various aspects of our school and the tasks tasks he set out to accomplish in his mandate. One of the aspects he identified in need of improvement were the aspects regarded to digital technologies.
Around the same time the general board of education from the Ministry of Education suggested that schools should draw an action plan for the technological development in our school. This plan was designed after addressing the school community to share their view about the technological needs of our school.
These plans were shared with our school leaders and department heads and most of the final information was already shared among the remaining members of the school community.

There is a high level of autonomy at my school, which is great! Teachers feel free to make their own decisions on practices and materials within the limitations set by the national curriculum. Nevertheless, this absolute freedom is not an advantage for us because the majority of teachers are overworked and lacking CPD so they cannot benefit from autonomy.
The efforts made by the leadership to advance and introduce innovation are faced with resistance by most of the staff.
The headmaster is supported by a couple of us who are concerned with developing an action plan and seeking ways of inspiring the other teachers and engaging them into reflection on a shared vision for digital use.
I believe that we need to make school managements teams and share responsibilities. What's more, working in teams will empower both teachers and create the necessary conditions for empowering pupils and adopting a whole-school approach. SELFIE is an ideal tool for getting us started!

We are digitalising our school. The headleader is the first one that has been interested in this digitalization. It's true that the Govermente has asked us to do it and provided us with computers (not so many as we need to do it in the best possible way). So little by little we ae improving our digital usage and teachers have to use the computers with students several times per week. it's one of the goals of school, to improve digital usage of ICT tools by sutdents.

Even so, I believe that every school needs to define its own strategy. I have been working at many different schools and I have to admit that I saw they did not give such importance to technology, and so, the digital strategy is not well-defined. We do have a person in charge of technology, but I guess that is because we are told to do so. In truth, he does not serve the purpose he will have to. In the school I am working this year, they do care more about technology and there are some people involved in a technological project. However, I consider there must be a global involvement from the part of the teachers and that is not yet possible. There are many teachers who do not care about technology at all, and I think that hinders the progress others are trying to do.

I'm the leader in our school, because I'm the Principal. I think, because I want, be being transparent with my decision, by that, I explain to the Department Heads, at a meeting every fortnight, what we are doing, how we are doing, and where we want to go as a Management Team, waiting and gathering their support and involvement. So far, it is working and we are supported by 60 percent of the teachers. But, I must improve the communications because I see some teachers don't know how we are working now exactly. The principal of my high school has started to digitilize the centre. She tries to involve all teachers with seminaries related to the use of virtual class. Unfortunately, not all the staff are willing to take part in it, almost two thirds of the teachers use technology in their teaching process.
She has the support of the majority of head departments and she has focussed the use of ICT tools as one of the main goals of her action plan. In general terms, teachers and students are improving their ICT skills after the pandemy and progresively they feel more confident with its use.

I don't know if this has to do with the fact that the training center in our region has been offering training to try to train teachers. But the number of people who can participate is very small.

The manager of our school was aware of the importance of using digital technologies in teaching and was concerned with equipping classrooms with the necessary equipment, so that when we started learning online each teacher had the necessary tools. The only drawback was that not all students could be equipped with what they needed to learn online. In my school there isn’t a well-defined long-term educational vision as far as digital technologies are concerned. They exist; students and teachers use them in their everyday tasks; they are accurately integrated in our daily school life; some of us share resources and promote cross curricular activities; but there isn’t an organised plan of action. The importance of digital transformation is recognized, plans have been shared and discussed, and are supported by the school community, but the decision making processes are somewhat foggy.

About a year ago, Portuguese schools were asked to complete a kind of a CHECK IN and then a group of colleagues gathered to create a team (for the Digital Development of our Cluster School) in order to implement a Digital Plan (the so called PADDE). Their first step was to implement the SELFIE tool, which took place last May. School leaders, Teachers and students used the tool and since the beginning of this school year, TDC have been taking place with suitable offers. In the meantime, support / info documents have been shared with all teachers, also documenting the process and expectations. In addition, I’ve recently answered a school survey asking for our needs, availability and for suggestions.
So, yes, the process has been transparent and there has been a well-documented strategy plan for teachers and students alike, thus acknowledging the relevance of digital technologies in our schools and the much needed transformation.

In the short-term, our leadership was clearly defined: G-Suite platform, computers for teacher and students with digital gap, good wifi connectivity and all the classrooms with computers and projector. In my school the principal promotes and encourages the use of digital technology, but -like many Italian schools- as he is overwhelmed with bureaucracy and the management of ordinary school meetings, support motivation and issues related to pedagogical relationship among students and teachers, he has not formally established a specific technology head group. Therefore the activity of sharing theories and practices in the matter is left to the voluntary engagement of curious and "visionary teachers". At the moment I can't see a well organized vision on how to involve the whole staff and students in the matter.

During the last years the main preoccupation was related with equipment but recently and thanks to SELFIE and other internal processes of self reflection, the leaders are trying to develop a digital culture in the teachers staff. It's mandatory to have a Digital Plan with SMART objectives.

About two years ago, we prepared for accreditation in Erasmus+ projects. We created a 7-year strategy focused on digital development and transformation, but it was not accepted by the national agency. This year, we made our preparations again and made our application on the same subject. By conducting a survey on the digital competence of our school, we identified our shortcomings and updated our Erasmus+ projects to complete them. With the incentives of our ministry, digital development and transformation events, seminars and courses are organized. Our principal is very interested in helping us understand the relationship between STEAM and technology but she relies on limited information brought to her by not very prepared colleagues. She is now following a new path where she is searching and confronting various pieces of information and proposing new steps to follow. She wants us to participate in interactive laboratories regarding STEAM while the use of technology (devices, softwares…) is left to the digital team which has the job to assist their colleagues and to train them. Her plans are discussed and shared in apposite meetings with all the teachers and they usually vote on them expressing negative or affirmative reactions.

She usually leaves to the digital team the job to punctually inform the school community of any additonal or required training.

My school leader takes care about digital technologies. In my school there are a STEAM group and a digital counselor. We have a strategic plan that implements the use of digital technology in our school – most of our teachers are using modern teaching methods and digital technologies in order to create interesting and useful learning proceses. I give support to teachers and encourage them to use digital technology for teaching and learning. What I most appreciate about the management team in our school is that they are always open to new ideas and support teachers and students in what they want to do. They use the site of the school as well as the Facebook and Instagram pages to announce projects, activities and other aspects which are important not only for the school community but for our community in general. They are open with the investments they make and they constantly ask us what we need.

Digital goals are very limited and general.

For example:

Priorities for 2021: School digital capacity will be improved.

Coal itself doesn't follow SMART objective set up rule. It is general, it not measurable. I am not sure can we guaranty that it has been fulfilled.
As indicator it has been measured:

% from teachers who has personal digital repository which has been actively used for teaching. As indicator It has been pointed fulfilled with 90% so far.

The vision to my school is the progres and improve the knowlege about the tecnology.

My school has a strategic plan for digital technologies, but it covers only the minimum need due to the low finance applied by our government in education.
The school principal, being aware that we need a strategy with respect to digitalisation, has included the school (teachers and students) in an European ROSE program, this school being the 5th year, and with the money coming out from the project he dotated the school with laptops, cameras, retroprojectors, internet, the whole infrastructure, and even some courses for the teachers to get familar with different platforms and digital tools.
As part of the annual school development plan, digital transformation is often included and professional development training offered regularly to help staff approach the aim.

I am the ict coordinator at my school. I constantly encourage our teachers to use digital technology in their lessons. In addition, I provide technical support to our teachers who use digital technology whenever they need it. I also organize various activities for the use of ict technologies for our school students. However, our problem is that many of our students live in villages, so they do not have digital technologies at home. Our headmaster encourages us to use digital tools during our classes, to take part in different courses/classes related not only to digital tools and platforms, but also to other topics; he listens to our needs and tries to fulfill them as much as he can with the budget provided from the city hall. When he implemented the electornic catalogue he offered to help us learn how to use it by organizing a workshop. Our leader, the head teacher did her best to equip all the classrooms with the necessary devices supporting the educational process. Thanks to the lockdown, we started to use GSuite effectively. The teachers and the leadership started to communicate and collaborate online on shared drives and Google classrooms. The role of the school principal is closely related to the execution of the School's Educational Project (at least, in Portugal). In this sense, and also by imposition of the General Directorate of Education (Ministry of Education), the concern with the digital is already part of our Educational Projects. It is up to school directors to enforce, in the context of school self-assessment, strategies for effective validation of the incorporation (by teachers, in the classroom context) of practices and methodologies involving ICT. The needed change requires behavior change, and not just "knowledge about" what should and can be done with ICT. It is necessary to act.
