We used one of the discussion questions from the heroes & sheroes teacher resource guide to have a "brainstorm wall" for a group visiting CAC. We adapted the question for this audience to gear it towards their work.

Reflection: Afterwards, participants wanted to discuss something that they learned or thought about from reading the wall. They took lots of pictures!

Question: What do we do with the wall now?

Create your own collage cubes with found images and type from magazines, newspapers, old artwork, comics, junk mail. Produced in collaboration with Ana Dziengel, founder of Babble Dabble Do, this project is inspired by Corita's explorations with found graphics, collage, and the juxtaposition of images and type.

We asked participants to describe their "because" -- what motivates them, moves them, and inspires them. This activity goes hand-in-hand with Corita's heroes & sheroes series which describes what motivated her for social change.

Reflection: This could be a great warm-up activity for a class or workshop to get people thinking about values/histories/identities. Then, you could jump into an art project that asks them to artistically express what they've written.
