It is also important to guide the discussion, ensure that learners are clear about participation being important as it forms part of their learning process. The teacher could also manage online discussions by creating groups, assigning a speaker from each group to report back to everyone. Validating every learner's responses is important because it will make them feel that their engagement and points matter which will further encourage future participation. Including online tech tools is also a great way to manage discussion. Tools such as Kahoot, to track participation, understanding and engage the learners in a fun and interactive way. The learners can be put into groups and each slide or document can have the question, and each learner can write down their answer or their contribution to the discussion. In order to make sure learners aren’t misbehaving the teacher in google slides can make each slide a template so that nothing can be deleted and make a name box for each learner to fil in their contribution. Same with google docs each learner can have a box with their name so they can fill in their answers, this also allows for the teacher to see who has contributed and who hasn’t.
