1. How does the IWHC report frame reproductive justice? How could a top-down approach work together with a bottom-up approach to address the rights violations caused by the gag-rule?
2. Who is included in the activism described by the report? Who is excluded? (this can mean by omission, use of specific language, etc).
3. In what ways does this report contribute the West's focus on abortion as THE reproductive rights issue in the narrative of SRHR? How does it deter from that?

How is the global gag rule an example of how U.S. funding can be an unsustainable and unreliable resource for community organizations such as those in Pakistan?

2. How does this instability weaken community trust and organizing in the global south?

3.Additionally, how does the emphasis and fixation on abortion within Reproductive Justice advocacy affect how the United States provides funds abroad?

1) Given the kinds of challenges they face, do top-down, broad, international approaches to SRHR have a place in activist repertoire? Is it possible to resolve the tension between top-down and bottom-up approaches, or should activists only focus on one rather than the other?

2) What kinds of protections should be included in international documents regarding SRHR? Is there anything that shouldn't be included, or classified under a different branch of human rights?

3) Many of the agreements that the gains for sexual rights were codified in were non-binding consensus agreements. Would it make a difference if member states were bound to these agreements, and why/why not?

OVERVIEW QUESTION: Abortion has become the flagship issue of reproductive justice. However, as we saw with the clip on Tuesday, reproductive justice is as much about the choice to have a child as not have one. On the other hand, abortion fights have brought national attention to the reproductive justice movement. Should abortion be the face of reproductive justice if it’s successful in garnering international attention? Or should other issues take precedence regardless of how hot button they are? How do we balance the myriad issues within reproductive justice?
